BULLETIN BOARD RULES

NO SPAM - Posts that are simply links to another site, or are selling a product, or that are blatantly using this forum for personal gain are not allowed and will be deleted.  Multiple offenses will be dealt with by banning the posters IP from the board.

NO VOTING LINKS - While we're glad that everyone likes to show their support for Martina, this board is NOT a rallying point to try and get Martina to the top of every poll on every site on the Web.  If we feel the poll is important, we will post the information to the main news page of the site.

NO TICKET SALES - This board is NOT the place for you to sell tickets for any events, UNLESS you are selling the tickets at or below face value.  For your post to remain on the board, you need to 1. tell everyone what face value for the tickets is (this is the price ON the ticket) and 2. post the seat locations for the tickets you are selling.  Ticket selling above face value will be dealt with in accordance to the laws of the state in which the venue is in.

NO FLAMES - This seems to be the hardest rule for everyone to understand and to follow.  It's really quite simple, a flame is any kind of personal attacks on another board user who has posted something you don't like.  I have seen way too much of this on the board lately, and it is going to stop one way or another.

NO PROFANITY - This is a no brainer, there are kids reading this stuff people, so remember that and keep the language clean.

SUBJECT MATTER - Here is a rule that too many people want to play cop on.  Let me try to make this as clear as I can...

Anything Martina McBride or Country Music related is allowed on this board.  I don't care if it's about Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks, Country Radio, it is all allowed!  If you feel something should not be on the board, let me know, do not, under any circumstances start a flame war on the board over whether or not a particular topic is allowed.

NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT MARTINA - They fall under the subject matter category of things that are allowed!  If you can't stand reading anything negative about Martina, then this board is not for you.  Most everyone who finds and uses this board are Martina fans, and as such I believe they have a right to post things that they feel strongly about.  If they don't like a song, don't like a video, have a problem with our web site, they are more than welcome to air it out here.  I believe that Martina and John would feel the way I do on this one, as constructive criticism if often very helpful in making a better end product for the fans, whether we are discussing music, videos, the web site or fan club policies.  I do not want this to be a place where people are afraid to post something because it might anger some other fans.

DON'T BE A TROLL - No, I'm not talking about those funny looking little dolls with the wild Dennis Rodman colored hair...  A troll is someone who comes onto a board and posts a message just to get a big time negative response.  For some reason, not everyone is smart enough to spot these from a mile away and refuse to post a follow-up to the guy that just wants to get your goat as they say.  Any messages that I feel are trolling for a response will be deleted.

WHY WAS MY MESSAGE DELETED? - If you ever come back to the board and see your message was deleted, most likely it broke one of the rules above.  Almost all of the posts that I delete are trolls or people who are flaming or using profanity.  You are always welcome to e-mail and ask me, but be advised all decisions on deleting topics and messages are final and at my discretion

HAVE FUN - Not as much a rule as a suggestion.  Everyone will have a lot more fun on the board if you take it for what it is, an open line of communication between fellow Martina fans.  It's kind of like a family or a small community, you may not always agree with the other members, but if you respect what they have to say, and disagree in a respectful manner, everyone will get a lot more out of this board!  Think before you post!  Especially if you are following up on something that upset you, really think before you hit that send key.  If the original poster was just being a jerk, how are you going to come off in the response?
