According to Deb Mills, a longtime friend of Martina, this is the story behind this historic recording...

It seems that Martina won a singing contest held at Joyland, an amusement park in Wichita, Kansas. As the first place winner, Martina won a recording session at a local studio in Wichita. The result of that session was the 45 RPM that you see above. Martina covered Hank Williams' classic "Your Cheatin' Heart" and the Johnny Rodriguez penned tune, "Hello Love, Goodbye."

A big thank you to Deb for providing the pictures and the exciting story that goes with them!!
