M's Coming To St. Louis

I just noticed that St. Louis was added to the tour list, not sure how long it's been there since I haven't looked lately, but it's a nice theater.

I think they were just added this morning. I know I checked the Tour page yesterday and they weren't there and I'm pretty sure I checked early this morning and they weren't there yet.

Yeah I seem addicted to that page, but I keep hoping to see NYC show added.

Martina is "scheduled" to entertain in NYC during the Republican Convention last I heard. It will be one of the first times she gets a armed security force to guard her bus because the convention is a terrorist target.

Thanks, Keith! I recently renewed my fan club membership and received my renewal packet about a week ago. In it was an updated tour schedule that included a New Orleans date of 9-9-04. I live in New Orleans and travel to see Martina once a year, usually to Bluesville in the Horseshoe Casino in Tunica, Ms. because this is the closest she comes to New Orleans. This is about a 6 hour drive for me so you can understand why I was excited about a New Orleans date being added. My excitement quickly ended when Daniel pointed out that this couldn't be correct because Martina would be at the Mohegan Sun Arena on the 9th and 10th of September. Well, I am excited all over again and what makes it even better is the preferred seating for fan club members. Hope to see some of you at the concert. Debby

Is it possible to get any closer to New Orleans than the New Orleans Arena?

I'm very interested in the St. Louis, Fox Theatre Tour Date because that place is perfect for concerts by singers who sing first and dance never.

Daniel, In my excitement, I probably didn't word that right! What I wanted to say was in years past, I've traveled to Tunica to see Martina because Tunica was closer to New Orleans than any of the other places she was appearing. I, too, did see her in Baton Rouge, La. earlier this year but the last time she actually appeared in New Orleans was back in 1999. I actually enjoyed going to Tunica to see her at Bluesville because it is such an intimate setting. I hope when the touring with Alan stops and she starts out on her own she will go back to Tunica because if she does, I will be there. Debby

The Fox Theater is perfect for M, but my favorite place to see M has to be Tunica!!!!
I was talking to John about a month ago about MartinaFest and I thought a weekend at Bluesville would be perfect place to have it since she hasn't been there in awhile. Now I'm thinking the weekend before the St. Louis show would be perfect, Hint Hint!!!LOL

I hope Martina will come to NYC to do a real concert and not just a Republican event. I for one am not looking forward to getting to PENN Station to get home to Long Island each day. The city is going to be insane.

It is my understanding that it is a funraising concert for a childrens charity in conjuction with the Convention

I only read about the Fundraising and Republican Convention part in a press release I got from the Republican Party. I just love getting incomplete press releases in the mail.

Woo hoo! I'll be living in Nashville by then, and St. Louis and Memphis are only 4 hours away! Anyone know when the tickets will go on sale?
