I remember cassettes...somewhat. When I first got a cassette player, that's when cd's were first coming out and were popular, so then I had to "upgrade" to a cd player years later

I used to make tapes all the time & had hundreds of 'em!! I made 'em for everybody for holidays & friendship gifts. It got to be a royal pain in the posterior...the damn things would jump if you hit the button too fast or crinkle & chew, or the sound quality would suck or youd get hiss or a dozen other things would screw up. Cassette singles were the biggest hunks of crap in the western hemisphere, not to mention a complete waste of time! If you wanted to tape a CS you had to start the tape and count seconds till the song started, then run it back, set your recording deck, start the CS, count to start of song, stop, start both decks (record & playback)at once---and if you didn't get a clean start or bit off the intro, you had to run it back & start over---AAUUGGHH!! Another irritant was that f-ing tape hissssss...
And people wanna know why I am a regular customer of the local mental health clinic!! I made the jump to CDs and I AM GLAD!!! |
