I'm honestly shocked they gave it to Gretchen. I thought it was to soon to give it to her. I really thought it would be Sara or Martina. It's ok though. We all love Martina just the same and I know she is the top female vocalist in my eyes.

This year I was more unsure about Martina winning it than I have been in the last few, but I really didn't expect Gretchen to get it. I have nothing against her, I just thing the others "deserved" it more cause they've been around longer, just my opinion. But congrats to Gretchen, anyway.

I knew it was Gretchen all along....yeah Martina is our favorite, but Gretchen cashed in this year...she was "new" and different and I'm not surprised at all.....kudos to her!

Since M is so gracious, I am sure she is happy for Gretchen. I think being the "hot thing of the moment" has a lot to do with the choice. Anyway, you're still the number 1 vocalists in all our hearts!! --------------------

All I have to say is "WHAT?????"!
Gretchen certainly deserved Top New Artist, but come on, how long does it usually take talented female artist to win? Martina and Sara (and others) certainly have exhibited their talent MUCH longer. I didn't realize this award went to the "hot" song of the hour. |
