Female Vocalist Of The Year 2005, Will Martina Win?

The CMA's are coming up fast and if Martina wins the CMA Female Vocalist Of The Year this year, she will have broken Reba McEntire's record and she will be the all time winner EVER in that category....but Gretchen beat Martina at the ACM's.....I really hope Martina wins it this year for 4 straight wins (and one in 1999), but Gretchen might take it

Do you guys think Martina will win?

and i really dont care if anyother woman gets it, but i will be REALLY mad if Gretchen gets it ..like Sara would be awesome! ..i just dont think Gretchen deserves it ..imo

I agree completely, she's getting a little more than she diserves right now, I think. I really want M to get it. I really hope she does, and you're right, maybe this new album will help. I hope so. That would just be awwwwwesome!!!!

I agree. No offense to Gretchen fans, I just don't like her! If Martina doesn't get it, I really, REALLY want Sara to get it, or maybe Lee Ann Womack or LeAnn Rimes. ..Miranda Lambert better get the Horizon award!!

I for one am sick of the Gretchen comments. There are never positive. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all!

Yes grethcen does have her problems, but it's the way shes grown up. Doesnt mean everyone has to talk bad about her though. We dont even know if martina will be up for the award, there are alot of people new now and that are coming up in the music buisness. If martinas up for anything, I hope it would be entertainer of the year. I think she deserves that. It seems like all male country artist are up for it now.

I agree. I do think Gretchen is deserving, she's a really good person with great music. I like variety in the categories, usually it's the same people every year, other females artists do not get nominated unless they've been here for several years, except in Gretchen's case. I really really want Lee Ann Womack to get nominated this year though, and for album and song/single of the year

I second that one! TMWTCF is one of the best albums I have! It's fantastic! Every song is just wonderful. She deserves that one!!!

I so agree! It's my favorite album of '05 tied with Kerosene. Those are both AMAZING albums!!

Anyway, I'm REEEEEEEEEALLY hoping this'll be Sara Evans year. Last year was incredibly successful for her, and this year is looking to be the same!

Anyway, I don't know who will win the CMA, but it wont be Martina. She's really done nothing this past year, and even with the new album, it wont be enough. I think the nominees might be:

Sara Evans
Faith Hill
Jo Dee Messina
Gretchen Wilson
Lee Ann Womack

Martina might not even make it into nominations, but probably will. Lee Ann Jo Dee are both vulnerable, and Reba could also sneak in there.

Were you talking about me, Chris? I in no way meant that to be a negative comment about Sara. I like Sara a whole lot and would have been extremely happy for her if she'd won. I can see why she was upset. She's had a very successful year and probably thought she had a good shot at winning that award. I'd like to see her win it one day.
