Country Cares Concert

Hey all, just hoping whoever went got home safely....the roads were pretty bad out there. How did ya'll enjoy it? Did you guys with the big tickets get to meet Martina, Leann, or Carrie? I was way up in section 221, couldn't see much. I was disappointed they didn't have their screen thingy on, do they usually have it on for concerts? Martina Rocked, as usual. I was pleasantly surprised with Leann, she sounded very, very good...great acoustic show from her. Carrie did OK, at first I wasn't sure about her performance at first, but "Inside Your Heaven" and
'Jesus Take The Wheel" were really good. Tired here, hope everyone is safe and had a good time! Throat hurts from screaming!

OMG YA THE ROADS ARE TERRIBLE!!!!! we didnt get home until 3am!!!!!!!!! but we're home safe now!!! WE HAD A BLAST!!! we were dissapointed to with the screens, someone said they heard it was bc of the weather that they couldnt get it working!!! BUT EVERYONE ROCKED! we too were pleasantly surprised with leann, she did awesome, and loved carrie as always!! AND MARTINA OF COURSE ROOOOOCKED!!!!! SHE BROUGHT THE HOUSE DOWN!!!!, i got a bunch of pics i'll let you guys know when I upload them! Hope everyone who went had fun and got home safe!!!!! P.S- this was an AWESOME, way to start the holidays!!!!!!:)

Wonderful concert last night for a great cause! I thought Martina's performance was fantastic! I liked the mix, too, four songs from Timeless mixed with many of her staples, and a treat to hear "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" again.
Does anyone know what the last song of the show was? Was it Independence Day? We left right about then to avoid the parking lot jam and I was just wondering if that was actually the last song.
The roads were a mess- hope everyone travelled safely. We live about 1/2 hour south so I wasn't expecting too much of a problem but the roads hadn't been salted or plowed- guess they were saving it for the morning rush but it was a white knuckle drive. However it was worth it- the show was wonderful!
I thought LeAnn sounded really great, too, I have never seen her live before but we missed Carrie's performance.

I didn't get to attend this show, but I did hear M on my message machines from the show! So thanks for calling me Kim (from Michigan!). That was awesome, from what I could hear!!! And SO glad that they did such a great job with fundraising!

The show was AMAZING!!!! It was so beyond worth the money. Of course Martina was amazing, but I was also highly impressed with Carrie and LeAnn. Martina's last song was her acapella version of O Holy Night.

And finally...I GOT TO MEET MARTINA!!!! I really still don't believe it. I don't know if it will ever sink in that I met her! There were many people at the pre-party, and I thought it wasn't organized too well, but I happened to be in the right spot at the right time. All 3 of the artists were doing short M&G's, and I just happened to be in the spot where the woman said to follow her to start Martina's line. I was about 20 people back in the line. I didn't get to meet Carrie or LeAnn, but that's ok.

I also loved that she did Over the Rainbow and Hit Me With Your Best Shot. It was also very nice to hear WWYB again.

Yes, O HOLY NIGHT ACAPELLA, (the very last song), was AMAZING!!!!!!! Martina is THE BEST!!!!!!!!!:)That was an amazing night! EVERYONE did fantastic:)

Oh, darn it I missed it! I was wondering if she would add a Christmas song in the mix. I'm sure it was beautiful- I heard her sing it at the Joy of Christmas show a few years back and she was wonderful!

Everyone rocked last night, I got home at 1 am (the roads were absolutely HORRIBLE!), and I had an awesome time! I was in section 118, row G (pretty good seats for viewing, and yes I have pics but I need to upload them). O Holy Night a cabella was a big highlight of the show!

That's Awesome that you got to meet her! Man, I couldn't even see what she looked like from where I was! I'm glad everyone got home safely I started to leave right when Indy Day was over and heard the start of O Holy Night as we were finding the exits....I bought a Martina hat on the way out, had to have something! So out the building at about 10:45 home at 12:30.

The concert was AMAZING and SOOOOOO much fun!!!! Seriously seeing Martina in concert just makes me so happy! However the ride home was a nightmare! Me and my frien(both 19) got sooooo lost cause we were going to my cousins and we were in the middle of no where. ALso the roads were HORRIBLE and we couldnt see a thing as we were driving. And my car doesnt have four wheel drive so that wasnt good. It took us a 1/2 hour to get to the Palace and 2 and a 1/2 hours to get back to my cousins. Very scary but we made it! The concert was so worth it! ha!

We got back to Kentucky safely around 10:00 Friday night. The roads weren't too bad...lol, but we took a detour to Canada. The concert was AMAZING! We had front row and hearing Martina that close could blow you out of your seat! We got to meet Martina at the preparty - just happened to be at the right place at the right time and got in the front of her meet and greet line! Me, my best friend, and her mom all got pics with Martina and got her autograph. Lol, I've already put all of my stuff in a frame - an 8x10 of Martina, my autographed Timeless CD insert/booklet, my ticket from the concert, and the pic of me and Martina! It was so amazing to finally meet my idol! The bad news is that I'm an idiot and didn't use the flash on my camera (cause the Palace said we weren't allowed to) so only one pic of Martina turned out. Also, we were about thisclose to meeting Carrie Underwood, but they cut her meet and greet short cause she was pretty much getting mobbed and had to go cause she was the opening act.
