Patty Loveless & Cheap Whiskey?

BLAH!!!! I had no idea Patty Loveless recorded her own version of Cheap Whiskey. I was sitting here at work listening to yahoo launch and all of a sudden I heard the lyrics for Cheap Whiskey but it was NOT Martina singing. I like Patty Loveless, but NOT when she sings a Martina song -- and my FAVORITE Martina song at that!

If memory serves me correctly it is Pattys husband who wrote this song. Of course Martina does better - thats a given.

I like Patty too, but it's one of those cases of choosing between 2 people you like. For instance, I love Led Zeppelin, but I wouldn't want them covering a Beatles song!

Yeah, I've heard it. Her version isn't that bad, just REALLY different. Martina's is faaarrrr superior, though.

I love both versions, but of course I prefer Martina's.

I like both versions a lot and don't think one is better than the other. They're different for sure, seeing as how Patty's has a bluegrass arrangement for the instrumentals and the pacing is slower.

I love Patty. They both sound so different that I don't think they can be compared. Patty is such a class act.

I love Martina and Patty...but IMO anything Patty sings is better than anyone else's (both beautiful versions though)

What is your problem? I love Martina's music and have said it many, many times and if I was not a fan, I would not be here. Patty is just my favorite female singer, and they way I feel about her music being better than other people's, people here feel about Martina's..so I don't see how that means I shouldn't be here ...just because I'm here does not mean I have to worship her or anything, which it seems like you are implying.

Why do you always have to be so rude to people a lot of the time? I come here because I'm a fan of Martina's, and really enjoy talking to some of the members here about other things, like country, etc.

I don't think so, you're rude pretty much all the time, to even friendly people. I don't see how you are not put on moderate approval or suspended for the things you post sometimes.

Well, there's a difference here then with why I'm here and why you return to there; I actually like the artist whose board I'm part of, whereas you do not (which seems like a waste of time to me ).
