Stations in Detroit, Phoenix and Denver added the song last week according to Billboard.

It is tied with the peak position it reached for Emmylou Harris' version.

It also avoids being the worst charting non-Christmas song by Martina but will probably be her 1st non-Top 20 in 10 years.

At this point, Top 40 is looking 25% possible and highly impossible due to country radio being not very friendly towards actually good and actually country songs.

Wow have times ever changed. It seems like nobody who started in the 90's is getting treated right by radio. Even a man like Alan Jackson, who represents the heart and soul of country music better than most anyone, is getting ignored.

I just hope this isn't isn't the beginning of the end for Martina as far as getting airplay goes. Martina's music is better than 90 % percent of the crap that gets played.

Well this is all because if you aren't one of a few select group of about 10 artists country radio doesn't play you. They play the same 10 or so artists over and over and over again. That is why I never listen to actual radio anymore now that I have my XM. I hear "I Still Miss Someone" at least once if not twice a day.

Makes me really want to sing the praises to my local Pittsburgh station. They're playing "I Still Miss Someone,", and I'm still hearing "Rose Garden" at least twice a day.

Every 10 years country radio drops a group of artists from the past 10 years to open up things to artists who will be here for the next 10 years. Martina and a group of artists arrived in the early 1990's and now country radio is sending her and others packing because it's been 10 years already.

Over the last ten years Martina is either the #1 or #2 most played female artists at country radio based on charted songs and how well those songs did collectively on the charts. Yet, she is still walked on and shown little respect by radio and even some fans of radio.

So she's being "punished" for being so successful?

Talk about wrong!

I have 4 country stations programmed into my car radio, and not once there or at home have I heard "I Still Miss Someone." I heard "Rose Garden" a lot when it first came out, but not really recently. I really love this new single too! sad.gif

Timeless is the BEST of all the shows I've ever seen Martina do! Paying tribute to those artists literally brought tears to my eyes!! Thank-you Martina for keeping the roots of country music alive!! It just cannot get any better!
