Hey, I was just thinking it would be so cool if Martina did her next album in the style of a mix between "Reluctant Daughter" and her fav movie "O Brother Where Art Thou"? Kind of old fashioned blue grass. Maybe do something with Allison Krauss. And if not the whole album at least a few songs. What do you guys think?

I'd love that, but it's probably not gonna happen any time soon.

Honestly, I'd be pretty happy just to hear a lot of steel guitar or fiddle on Martina's next album. But that's just me. Traditional country is more of my taste.

I thought that maybe I heard somewhere that the next album would be what we're used to hearing from Martina. smile.gif

Timeless is the BEST of all the shows I've ever seen Martina do! Paying tribute to those artists literally brought tears to my eyes!! Thank-you Martina for keeping the roots of country music alive!! It just cannot get any better!

I'd love to hear M and Alison sing something together. It would be a good contrast of M's loud, bombastic style with Alison's quiet singing. Although I always felt M's singing on Silent Night was Alison-like.

I don't think it'll happen for awhile either, as far as a bluegrass album. I think the next "thematic" album she wants to do is a Gospel one.

I'd love to see something bluegrassy..with lots of fiddles and mandolins. Something really, really country. I'd love that. Please don't do something pop-ish!!

She sang harmony vocals on a song called "I'll Be The Wind" on Garth's "The Lost Sessions" CD...It is a good CD, & as soon as I heard that harmony track I thought "okay I know that voice...that's Martina!" She did a GREAT job on it!! smile.gifI don't think they call it a duet but it almost could be. smile.gif

I got the impression from an interview not long ago that she was going back to her pop-country style. I'm not especially fond on the bluegrass idea, but I would like to see her mix it up a little more. Go with the pop-country style, but throw in a few with a more traditional sound. I think that would satisfy everyone. Look how well "Timeless" did, and that was all traditional.
