sat through 57 minutes of nonsense last night to experience 3 minutes of heaven? Blows my mind. You take someone with Martina's talent, commitment, and values and relegate them to 3 minutes of performance versus several minutes of conversation looking for what lies under the beauty and talent. That had to be one of the most superficial, supercilious shows ever - except for 3 minutes of excellence. How idiotic TV and radio magnates must think we are to feed us such chaff. Just think how irritated I was 18 hours ago. Thanks to Martina I drifted off into dreamland well pleased that I had suffered through 57 just to get 3. --------------------

I Know, I usually don't stay up and watch things anymore...or sometimes I'm not fanatic about shows Martina is on..but I stayed up and watched...thinking I should be in bed lol....but I enjoyed the performance!

Yep, know what you mean! Stayed up until 12:35am here in southern California to witness pure perfection. Have to have it for my collection! I'm such a Martinaholic! I only got 5 hours of sleep. Me & Caffeine are great friends today. Going for another diet drink now . . . MARTINA'S VOICE IS WORTH IT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!! And Taylor Hicks is on Leno tonight. Love him, don't know if I'll stay up or not. Just might record that one and catch it tomorrow. See . . . only Martina rates! (well, maybe Keith Urban too but to me, Martina will always be my #1 artist) Val-entine --------------------

I think it is so stupid how they don't interview singers on talk shows. Why fly them in just to sing a song? They have personalities too and I think are more interesting.

All I can say is, different strokes for different folks.
 I personally find both Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien to be funny, and watch their shows when I get a chance to (if I don't fall asleep beforehand). Jay especially has always been the one late-night comedian who extends a hand to the country music community and makes no secret of his love for country music.

Sometimes they do end up interviewing them, but last night I could have done with less of the other guests, more Leno jokes and an interveiw with Martina, who was the only reason I stayed up to watch. on that note, she sounded absolutely amazing and looked beautiful so even tho they didnt interveiw her I was so glad I didnt miss it!

You said pretty much EXACTLY what I was gonna say so i'll just say, I TOTALLY agree!:) PLUS, i'm also glad i stayed up, which Martina is the only reason I stayed up for the tonight show, but i'm soooo glad i did becuz then i was up to hear her radio interview on after midnite which was AWESOME!:) --------------------
Martina is MY IDOL!!!!!!! I can't WAIT to meet her... oh wait I DID!!!:) July 27th 2006, was the BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!! Martina is THE BEST!!!:):):)

Ha. I fought hard to stay awake and I dozed off but I was fighting fatigue like a mad woman and I did end up dozing off but when Martina was singing...I woke up...no lie!! IT's like my brain knew what to listen for as I slept!

I totally know what you mean. I didn't watch the show, but I have the same thing happen. I leave my TV on the GAC channel when I sleep and if I hear a Martina song on I instantly wake up. It's kinda weird. LOL

Martina as usual ROCKED!!!! Her voice is flawless (so what else is new
) and is always a joy to listen to GO MARTINA!!!! Btw yeah I was annoyed that she was only on for 3 minutes as well-- BUT they DID save the best for last!!! |

What's worse is allowing the STUPID PROGRAMMING to decide when to record it - I mean I use the on line from COMCAST program -  hit DVR button RECORD and then when you watch it - IT CUTS OFF HALF WAY INTO THE SHOW BECAUSE IT GOES LONGER THAN THE PRE-SET TIME!!!!!!!
