I've always thought Martina would just absolutely kill "I Will Always Love You." I would love to hear her do that.

Maybe some old soul music like "Respect," "Just One Look," "Rescue Me," "Soul And Inspiration," "You Send Me," "Reach Out I'll Be There," "Baby Baby Don't Cry..."
I think she would absolutely blow minds if she sang some soul and R&B... laugh.gif

I'd have to think on this one!! I've been a country music fan most of my life, so I can't really branch out too much beyond that genre'. Although I do own a Journey & Bon Jovi CD. wink.gif

Timeless is the BEST of all the shows I've ever seen Martina do! Paying tribute to those artists literally brought tears to my eyes!! Thank-you Martina for keeping the roots of country music alive!! It just cannot get any better!

Ohhhhh, I think you're definitely right about that! I can just imagine her holding those notes. Even in my head it sounds fantastic!

I used to have a list of songs I'd like to hear her sing, but I can't think of any at the moment.

I definitely agree about "I Will Always Love You", I would love to hear her sing that! I would also love to hear Martina do an Aretha Franklin song, like "RESPECT" or definitely "You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman"

I like the way she does At last on the Hallmark CD. SHows that she is comfortable with just about any popular genre. But really, she sang just anything I could think of wanting to hear from her on Timeless. That's about as perfect an album as one could want.

Cordially,

Tom

Wait.

I've got the perfect song:

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly

How wonderful would that be!

An all acoustic version with Marty or Greg on guitar.
My goodness, I'm getting chills just thinking about it!

Cordially,

Tom

Gosh...good question. Three songs immediately come to my mind..."Have You Ever Been in Love", "Hero", and "Faithfully". I think any of those 3 songs would send chills down my spine.

She has sung a song called "You're Still The One" - although it's probrably not the one you're thinking of
