My Martinafest Resume

Very good review Claude!!(i'M THE ONE IN THE WHEELCHAIR)lol!!! I dont know how much more i could add! except that that was THE BEST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! Martina and John were Awesome to let us do that! and Keith and Christine, THANKYOU GUYS for putting that together!!!!!!!! HMMMMM i'll probably think of more to add later, but right now i think Claude has it pretty well covered and i'm still speechless anyway!:) and to think I ALMOST DIDNT GO!!!!:( OMG that makes me sick to think about it!

Don't worry Kaite. I think I got him curious. I know that both him and Robert Plant have really started to like Alison Kruass's music as well.

One think that I don't think got mentioned was that Martina was wearing an older Beatle t-shirt at the sound check.

Seems like a fun time was had by all.

OK I'm almost awake, I had a great time in Canada, maybe too good of a time!!

First I want to Thank John and Martina, you guys are the best, what other artist would hang out with there fans for almost 2 hrs!! Everytime I come up with what I want to do for MartinaFest, they take it a few steps farther!! I think Claude covered everything, it was just so laid back, it was like just like neighbors got together to celebrate a Birthday, kids were running around playing. Emma and MacKenzie(Marty's youngest) came over to eat some cake and hang for awhile, better get some before Ava ate it all.

I also want to Thank, Mark and the band, thanks for letting us hang out a little during soundcheck. Also want to thank Christine for her help, I always have trouble picking out gifts for Martina, so it's nice to have a womans opinion and thanks for all the other help.

I'll have more pics up later tonight when I get home, hope everyone enjoyed themselves, can't wait to do it again next year!!

Was it almost 2 hours long? Boy, time does fly by fast whenever you meet Martina. And since i dont exactly ask for the time in those occasions, i bet you re right! Yea, i forgot to mention when Emma and MacKenzie come over to eat cake. Martina introduced MacKenzie to us.

Here s a few more details about the getogether:

(Somewhere at the beginning).
John said that they(at customs) searched the bus. He didnt like that, cause he didnt want them to wake up Ava, who was sleeping. He asked us if we have any problems at the border. Now, obviously that question was meant for our US guests, but somehow i felt the need(and I really dont why ) to tell my story from 5 years ago when i attended a Martina show at the Beacon theater in Ny. At the time, it was private concert for a magazine, but Martina(through the BBS) had invited fans to it. At customs, at the question, "what s the purpose of your trip?", i had stupidly replied that i was invited by Martina to her show. Boy, did i get grill by another officier with though questions and everything.

When i mentionned my idea about doing a medley to Martina, i told her that i had attended a Lara Fabian show recently in which she did sing such a medley of her songs and it was a success(I could have mentionned same thing with Olivia and Shania shows, but i didn t).

Before Kim asked for a pic, i of course forgot to mention that Martina asked for a group picture. Mark(tour manager) took the pics. There was more than one,cause several cameras(for different fans) were used.

At the part, where i asked for an autograph to Martina, she did remember my name!!!!! She said: "It s Claude, isnt it?". I was really thrilled by that, cause even she did remember my name about 5 years ago, i wasn t sure at all, that she will still remember it!!!!

Yes Ross, they are still very much planning on recording another show for a live DVD. John didn t know when or where at this point..

It wasnt filmed:( it was supposed to be, but they decided not to, which ended up being a good thing, because the casino crowd was a lot of people that were gold card members of the casino, it wasnt Martina's real fanbase so the crowd didnt get into it as much as we wouldve liked, so they opted against the DVD but said they'd film at a later show
