Alright, now I'm sure that this has been shared before but I'm curious... have any of you ever met Martina? I met her at Fan Fair at the WYCA auction this year. That was definately the best day of my life! lol
So... share away!

The topic has been discussed a couple of times, but oh well, I always like to share about the most amazing night of my life biggrin.gif

I met Martina before her show in Green Bay, WI last September. You can read all about it here: http://martina-mcbride.com/martinavill...showtopic=20482

And here are links to previous threads where people share memories of meeting Martina:

There are probably some more links, but I can't find them right now.

Hi everyone,

Well the first time I met Martina was a couple of days ago. I still can't believe it really happened!

I went to martinafest thinking I was going to meet some other fans and talk about martina and have a good time. I never expected her to actually see her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was sooooooooooo awesome. I knew there was a possibility but i didnt get my hopes up so not to be dissappointed. I was far from dissappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Martina John are so down to earth and such a great couple. You can tell how much they respect and love each other. It's really nice to see. Martina was so kind to us. She answered our questions listened to some suggestions and requests. And she actually sat and had cake with us!!!!! I will never forget that day! I envy the fans that get to meet her alot like keith!

I wish I could just follow her around on her tour. Just be a groupie but unfortunately i have to work! oh well I can dream!

Sometimes you're not sure if you want to meet your idol. Afraid they wont stand up to the image you've created of them. No need to worry about martina. She is everything you would hope she would be and more!

Cant wait until the next time!

Yes, once, at this years FCP at Blackbird.
Friday June 9, 2006 at 17:40 CDT.

Wish I could say I remembered it well, but I only have a vague recollection of mumbling on about something or other for a few minutes and then standing to next to her for a picture (trying to figure out what to do with my arm since it seemed so out of place to be putting my arm around her). It was funny though, I am 6'3" and she is 5'2" so I had to srunch down a little to even up the picture! biggrin.gif

Cordially,

Tom

LOL, same here. I'm still eternally thankful that I got to meet her--and I hope if there's a next time I don't act as if I'm not a gibbering idiot!

Yes, I have been blessed enough to have met her twice. Both this year! I met her on January 20 in Fort Wayne, Indiana when I won the meet-and-greet contest. I met her the second time while being selected to attend her Fan Club Party on June 9 in Nashville. It's been a wonderful year for me to say the least. biggrin.gif
