Martina On Canadian Idol Finale

Martina was just on, not actually there but a video message. She said that she would be thrilled if the Canadian Idol winner would join her on her Canadian Tour next spring!!!

And Eva just won!!

I hoped Thunder Bay is one of the cities on the tour.

I hope she does Toronto and/or Hamilton.

And I hope Tracy does another Fan Club Pre-sale for us

Martina PLEEEEASE come to Saskatchewan !! Or Western Canada at least... I CAN'T WAIT!!

Eva is the perfect opening act...2 powerhouses in one night - it's gonna be GREAT!

I agree that this should be an awesome tour with two female power singers!! On tha note does anyone have any scuttlebutt on Martina's 2007 Canadian Concert Tour - venues, dates etc? I've heard a few things but wondered if anything official is out there yet.

Nothing official has been out yet. People have been making some assumptions based on what John said at Martinafest, but those are just that - assumptions, guesses and wishes Official tour dates have not been posted.

When I heard that the winner was gonna tour with Martina, I was so hoping Craig was gonna win. I know M would have came to Newfoundland then for sure! So i was a little sad when Eva won (just for that fact though, I always did want Eva to win).

Anywho, I'll keep on prayin that she comes here anyway!

So great that M gave Eva that kind of opportunity!

I m really glad that Eva won. The girl from Gatineau, Quebec is Canadian Idol winner, YEA!!!

Eva would make a great opening act for Martina. Especially here in Quebec.


Does it mean that CDJ is getting kicked out of the island? I thought she had won immunity(oops........wrong show.....)

Most tours these days have 3 acts, so there could be a possibilty of a Canadian Girls Night Out tour with Martina, CDJ and Eva. I'm just guessing but if I was putting this tour together I would think with the Canadian Idol winner and one of Canada's biggest country stars and of course M, that tour could sell out the largest venues in Canada!!

Canadian Idol Winner Receives Extra “Prize Pack” from Martina McBride and Cyndi Lauper

Toronto, ON (September 17, 2006) –Cyndi Lauper and Martina McBride are stepping up to the plate. After coaching Canadian Idol competitors earlier this season, the two Grammy winners and Sony BMG Recording artists will make a surprise announcement tonight, revealing an extra “prize pack” that will provide a boost to the career of the Canadian Idol champ. Lauper will produce a track on the winner’s new CD, due this fall, while McBride has invited the winner to join her on her Canadian tour next spring.

“I look forward to producing a track for whomever that wins,” said Lauper in a taped message to Top 2 finalists Eva Avila, 19 and Craig Sharpe, 16. “But you’re both winners to me.”

“I’ve been watching you every week,” said McBride. “I wish I could be there with you on this special night. I would be thrilled and honoured if you would join me on my Canadian tour this spring.”

Lauper coached and performed live on Canadian Idol’s tribute to the Music of the Eighties in July while McBride also coached and performed live on Canadian Idol’s salute to country classics in August.

What did John say at Martinafest??

Grant & Ania will call it "assumptions" or "rumours", but it s a little more than that, when John McBride is talking, i m listening and there s like 20 witnesses of it.

Canadian tour is next year, possibly starting in March. John mentionned several cities, but i heard 3 of them: Saskatoon(I know you re gonna like that one), Montreal(you all know i really like that one) and Halifax(come on Melissa, you can travel there, right???).

And nothing is official til Martina takes the stage...sigh.......
