There was a Wilmore Opry Variety Show at the Barber County Heritage Center tonight in Medicine Lodge. Daryl Schiff and Rick Schiff were scheduled to close the show. Unannounced and unadvertised (but not unknown to a few - the show was sold out 2 weeks ago) Martina and her brother Marty performed with her dad Daryl and 3rd cousin Rick. They did 13 songs !!!!! and an encore'.

It is late now but I have a few photos for you. Will process more in the next day or so.
Hopefully this will do for now.

As tradition dictates, singing "Happy Trails" at the end of the show.

How very cool! It's so neat how Martina can return to her roots & pick the small-town music scene right back up. wink.gifI'll bet it was a great show! Thanks Rick for the pics. smile.gif

Rick, thanks for sharing such great pictures. The picture of Martina with her Dad is my favorite picture -- it is just priceless -- what a beautiful picture of a father and his daughter. smile.gif

Well, Martina was thought of a lot last night, and I had forgotten she was going to be in Kansas! Funny how things happen. I spent the night with one of her idols...Loretta Lynn at the Ranch. Marty Stuart and Connie Smith showed up as well and sang about 6 songs with Loretta. I spoke with all 3 of them but failed to get pictures. Glad it was a fun night for everyone from Kansas to Tennessee!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

I wanted to go down for this so bad! Alas, I only work two weekends a year - and this weekend had to be one of them! Couldn't get out of it.

Sorry, Rick, that we couldn't be there. Would've loved to have seen you before you leave.

Thanks for the pictures!!
