I wonder what does the following mean(in the Gold package):

* A Chance to be upgraded to a Meet-and-Greet with Martina McBride

Once again, i m just curious.

If I purchase a Gold Package what are my chances of getting upgraded to the meet-and-greet, and how will I be identified for the upgrade?

In cities VIP’s wearing a collectible Gold laminate will be chosen from the front of house objectively and at random. Make sure you wear your Gold laminate! There is no guarantee of an upgrade to the meet-and-greet.

And I read something else that said the entire package would be upgraded to platinum. huh.gifNot too sure though...

Like all M&Gs it's most likely quite short - long enough for you to exchange 3 words with Martina and take a picture, hehe biggrin.gif

But I would seriously be freaking out if my chance of meeting Martina depended on whether I have 450 bucks or not!

Ok, I'm ENTIRELY confused. These packages will not affect fan club seating...but how could they not? Fan club members doing the fan club presales now have their chance for good seats taken up by others who are not in the fan club, but who are buying these VIP packages? Can someone explain it to me otherwise? I think it's a cool thing Martina is doing, but then it sort of defeats the purpose of a fan club presale, doesn't it??

As I said in the 2nd post in this thread...

Not at all. From what I understand there are a very limited amount of these VIP tickets available. It will not effect the fan club seating at all as the fan club never had 100% of the first 10 rows anyway.

Which means exactly what it says. All along, since the fan club seating program began, the seats available for the fan club in the first 10 to 12 rows or so have been mixed in with tickets that go on sale to the general public. This allowed the fan club to guarantee fans better seats but also still allowed people who weren't fan club members at least a chance to sit up front. It's the same thing now with this program, there aren't any extra seats being taken away from the fan club seating at all.

Nobody's chance of meeting Martina will EVER depend solely on whether they have $450 or not. The fan club is still giving away a pair of front row tickets and meet and greets for every show. Almost every gig has a radio promotion involved that will give fans meet and greets. This is just another alternative to those programs.

I know that!! Perhaps I should have formed my statement a little differently, but you get the point biggrin.gifLet's just say that in this particular case your chances of meeting Martina are way bigger if you have extra $450 lying around biggrin.gifWhich most people probably don't and that's why we love other options of obtaining M&G passes smile.gifsmile.gif

Thanks for the explanation about the tickets, Darren. Guess I should have read all the posts more thoroughly. I do think this is an awesome and unique opportunity for those who are lucky enough to do it, and I hope those who do splurge for Christmas have a great time at the shows. Guess I'm just hoping all the fan club members get great seats for a great experience, as well!
