Martina takes stand at photo shoot

What you won't see in Vanity Fair is Billy Currington topless. Billy was photographed with Martina McBride and Trisha Yearwood in homage to the movie "Thelma & Louise." Martina made it clear at the outset that she did not want Billy to be asked to remove his shirt.

But sure enough, the photographer asked him to take it off, so Martina stopped the shoot. Billy kept his shirt on and the shoot continued. Martina stresses that it had nothing to do with Billy.

"I am a wife and mother, and my kids are going to be looking at that magazine," she says.

"I was uncomfortable with it. Then the photographer was saying, 'Martina, look at Billy and flirt with him,' and 'Trisha, look at Billy and flirt with him.' I was thinking, 'You know, I'm not going to do that.' Nothing against Billy, but I'm not going to flirt with him in a magazine with his shirt off. So I took the photographer aside and said, 'Maybe it would be better if you had him looking at us.' ''

What a cool picture. I didn't even know they did this shoot. I wonder what it was for?

I'm glad Billy kept his shirt on!

My female friends won't be happy but his shirt is completely unbuttoned. laugh.gif

Martina looks absolutely stunning there! Trisha looks beautiful as well, and Billy just looks hot. laugh.gif

I like the shirt still being on. Though I certainly wouldn't have minded it being off. biggrin.gif

It's cool that Martina did that, though! Makes me love her even more!

Good for Martina in sticking to her family values and morals. She is a class act...no doubt.

Timeless is the BEST of all the shows I've ever seen Martina do! Paying tribute to those artists literally brought tears to my eyes!! Thank-you Martina for keeping the roots of country music alive!! It just cannot get any better!

Beautiful picture!

My two favorite singers! (Ahem..that would be Trisha and Martina, in case I have to say it.)

Do my eyes deceive me, or is Martina sporting a pair of DaisyDukes?
(Darn. Just when I thought we (I) were above making comments about whether she is "sexy" or not.)

Cordially,
Tom
