I've liked her duet with Clint Black for the longest amount of time since it was made in 1997 and because it is the easiest one to find on a CD! smile.gif

I wish the rest were as easy to find and listen to. I almost have them all but I'm a big fan so I try very hard to find the songs.

Anyone have funny or interesting song shopping experiences to share?

I've seen or bought Martina related CD's at yard sales and flea markets!

I bought Timeless twice in one day...I went to Walmart and bought it the day it came out. Then a couple of hours later after listening to it in the car, I was at Target. I find it at Target for a couple dollars more..but it had 2 or 3 more songs on it so I bought it again. The one from Walmart came with the DVD. I could have cared less about the price of the second one...I wasn't gonna miss anything.

When Martina came out I was laid up with a broken leg and I had to call my husband at work to ask him to stop on the way home and pick it up for me...he just laughed and said he bought it on his lunch break and was GOING to surprise me. There was no way he didn't think I knew when that CD was coming out! LOL

i didn't really like the duet with clint black but i don't know i just wasn't feeling it.

i also bought numerous timeless cd's. i think that the final count was three.
1. pre order
2.target with bonus tracks
3.wal mart with the dvd
but it was all good. i got a bunch of extra stuff!!!

the clint/martina duet was what hooked me on her to begin with! i especially loved the performance at the 40th anniversary of the CMAs a few years back.

however, i think my favorite recorded duet was on the Hope Floats soundtrack, with Bob Seger. It's called "Chances Are." It's more in the vein of soft pop, instead of country... but it's an incredible vocal. It definitely has it's moment of belting, but the beginning is a nice, tender side.

Her harmonies on the duet with Jimmy Buffet are cool.

But, by far, the best duet I've ever heard her do was when she was live on the Girls Night Out tour. At the very end, her and Reba performed "Does He Love You." I don't think I've heard a duet that amazing ever!

There's also a duet (or whatever it's called when there's 4 lol) with Reba McEntire, Trisha Yearwood, and Linda Davis called "On My Own" it's pretty good.

Oh MAN, I would LOVE to hear Martina do that song with Reba. It's a great song.

unless you got the Itunes preorder version as well, you did miss a song.

If I ran away, I'd never have the strength
To go very far
How would they hear the beating of my heart
Will it grow cold
The secret that I hide, will I grow old
How will they hear
When will they learn
How will they know

I REALLY wish they would have recorded/filmed that at one of the shows. Over 5 years later, and I still recall how blown away I was by it.

well... seriously... it's Reba (who is amazing in her own right) with Martina, who simply can do more vocally than Linda Davis (although she isn't a slouch herself). I just remember when they got to the bridge and the last chorus (note: I just got the chills just recalling it)...

Reba: Oh, I should not lose my temper
Martina: I should not be ashamed
Reba: 'Cause I have everything to lose
Martina: And I, I have nothing to gain (then vocalizes...)

meh. i wish they would do it again sometime... maybe M will sing it with someone at Reba's shindig later on this month!

Her duet with Tim McGraw on PPV special a few years ago was neat too... "Angry All the Time."
