"The credit belongs to those who are actually in the arena, who strive valiantly, who know the great enthusiasm, the great devotions, and spend themselves in a worthy cause; who, at the best, know the triumph of high achievement and who, at the worst, if they fail, fail while daring greatly so that their place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat."

OMG I went to it to it tonight and she was soooo great. Everyone went krazy. It was really kool. It was my first time seeing her live. Her voice was just amazing and she look great. I cried during concrete angel and in my daughters eyes. I bought 3 things from there tonight, a shirt *the black one with in my daughter's eyes on it*, a keychain, and the teddy bear.

It's better to be hated for who you are
Than loved for someone you're not. God never promised that you would not experience hardtimes and trials. He did promise that He would be there with you when they do happen. Have Faith! |

![]() McBride raises the roof to screaming fans' delight By Jessica Belasco San Antonio Express-News Web Posted : 02/12/2004 12:00 AM Martina McBride's CDs don't do her justice. Her voice was made for concert halls filled with screaming fans — as evidenced by her performance Wednesday night at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. As big as the SBC Center is, McBride more than filled it with the sound of her soaring soprano voice. McBride, 37, belted out the songs that showcased her lung power the most, including "How Far," "Where Would You Be" and the gospel-influenced "A Broken Wing." And as if to prove her presence wasn't dependent on her seven-piece band, she sang the giddy "I Love You" accompanied only by acoustic instruments. Wearing a black tank top and glittery black pants, McBride evoked an enthusiastic response from the audience, whether she was singing the rollicking "When God-Fearin' Women Get The Blues" or the sentimental ballad "In My Daughter's Eyes." Her last song, the female-empowerment anthem "Independence Day," gave the audience a foot-tapping, hand-clapping, dancing-in-the-aisles good time before McBride took a victory lap around the arena in the back of a truck, holding a rose given to her by a fan. This was McBride's fourth straight appearance at the rodeo, but rather than being stale, she sparkled like the diamonds dangling from her ears and neck. Her performance of "Whatever You Say" was particularly heartfelt and finely nuanced. "My baby loves me just the way that I am," she sang. So do her fans. Gotta love that review --------------------
