Other than a suspect post on this board. I have not seen Monday as the add date for "How Far".

I also heard "that was Martina's latest IMDE" and "coming up Martina's Hot New song IMDE" on the radio this morning and last night on country radio in my area.

Where is IMDE at on the charts? Or was it taken off last week?

They don't really explain how they really work. IMDE is still on Billboard but I won't know what # until it is released tonight. It's been off R&R's chart for two weeks now.

TOFTG just went Top 10 on the R&R Adult Contemporary chart today. It's #10!

Okay, maybe "How Far" was secretly embedded inside the copies of Toby's new song. It starts and ends with Toby but Martina's song is in the middle?!

Drats! Another Toby keith song. I do not think IMDE would have reached #1 because of Kenny Chesney. But it may have ranked high to at least #2. It is unfortunate that it peaked so soon. I still think RCA should release to to AC radio. It has a strong appeal and could be a crossover hit. The Women who make it to the top 5 usually do not make it to #1 because either, Kenny, Toby or Alan have a strong hold onto #1. I'm not sure how far HOW FAR will go but it should rank in the top 5 when all is said and done. Every song since BLESSED has fallen into that area.

"Blessed" was replaced at #1 by a Chris Cagle song.

WWYB was held at #3 because of two songs by two male artist.

"Concrete Angel" peaked at #5 behind four songs by four male artist.

TOFTG peaked at #3 behind songs by Gary Allan and Keith Urban.

IMDE just peaked at #4 behind Toby, Brad and Tim.

That's really sad.... all those songs had so much potential to be #1 hits, especially my favorite Martina song WWYB. I think now with How Far, there is a great possibility for it to go to #1. It is such an awesome belt out song. It will definitely impress the fans. If a video is released that'll help it even more.

Yes, but BLESSED was #1 for 2 weeks and is still that last song from a Female Artist to reach #1 on both charts. We really have to be aggressive with HOW FAR. Starting phoning radio stations as soon as it is released. I'm hoping KZLA supports it right away. They were very good with both IMDE and TOFTG. Both of which are still very active on their playlist.

Sometimes I think it's kinda frustrating how the charts work...I mean, a guy can release a song and it will make it in the top five in just a few short weeks. The women seem to have to work pretty hard just to make it up there. Many times, it's a steady climb, and then a new song comes around (by a guy,) and the women are knocked back down. Oh well, all we can hope for is that Martina will continue to release high quality music like we know she always will. They're just charts anyway! biggrin.gif

I agree. The quality of Martina's work speaks enough for itself. But seeing Martina topple the guys would be nice. wink.gif

Awesome!! I LOVE this song. Could be early contender for CMA song of the year!
