The new album dropped out of the Top 100 on the Billboard 200 chart for the 1st time. It is #110 this week down from last week's #98. It remains at #9 on the Country album chart.

TOFTG returned to #10 on the Billboard AC chart after dropping to #11 last week. It has been on the chart for 11 weeks.

TOFTG also received minor airplay on Adult Top 40 radio according to Billboard.

IMDE was removed from the Country chart because it dropped below #15 and had reached the max of 20 weeks on the chart below #15 rule. It peaked at #4

"How Far" should make it's Billboard country chart debut on next week's chart. The release date was not last Monday because it was added by just 1 country station this past week.

R&R and Billboard do not show an official release date for the song at this time. So it might be getting released without a release date on paper to guide radio station programmers. laugh.gif

Hey Daniel - Thanks for the info! I hope How Far does what I want it to, which is to move up the chart straight to number 1. We have been busy and things are going great. The studio is going great and we have been recording a lot of Nashville artists lately. That song "Redneck Woman" was mixed at Blackbird and they are currently mixing the rest of Gretchen Wilson's album now. We added her as an opening act on a couple of shows in September that are Martina headline dates. She is moving up the charts faster than anyone in a long time. We are also recording stuff with Faith and Tim who are both great artists and great friends. We have Alison Krauss in the studio in the future and lots of exciting projects. Life is good and I am still waiting for lightning to hit me. The girls are great and full of energy - I think they are sucking all of my energy out of me and using it themselves. Oh yeah, Kid Rock is coming back in sometime in the future to finish a project with a band called Hemigod. He really is a nice guy. We have a new girl singer working in the studio occasionally named Loren who is really a great singer - hopefully she will do well. It is Saturday night and we are getting ready to head back to Nashville tonight from St. Louis. It was a great show here, lots of yelling from the audience (which is my favorite part). I liked the sound of this room and Martina's voice sounded HUGE! Well duh it usually does but I like it when the room has good acoustics. We have a possibility of doing a couple of shows with Pat Benatar and we are working that out - I will post when we get it put to bed. I have been so busy lately I haven't had time to post but hopefully I will get on more and keep Martinaville on the cutting edge of information. So many things change so often that I am hesitant to post sometimes until it is absolutely written in stone, so that is why I don't always have a lot to say.
Martina the album still has a bright future and I think How Far will help sales along - a lot of fans wait until they hear 2 or 3 or 4 hits before they buy, which I understand. Or if a song just hits them right then they go out right away. Martina is collecting songs for her next album and I am so pumped about this. This should be her best album, judging from what I am hearing so far. She is also starting to write with some Nashville writers and that is so exciting. She is such a multi-faceted artist - the world in general has NO IDEA, but you guys have figured it out. Well I am rambling so I will sign off. Take Care! John

Martina & Pat in concert will be amazing!!!!

Since Pat grew up on Long Island I'm crossing my fingers that one of the concerts will be on the Island, but like everyone else I'll travel wherever I have to in order to see this show!!

I've been able to get a handful of friends to purchase Martina's greatest hits recently. Some of them bought it b/c I would get in their car and play a Martina song I knew would be perfect for them and plus once they heard Martina's voice they changed from saying, "I don't like country" and instead said, "wow. ok I don't like country, but this girl can sing." And some other friends I just told them to watch Cross Roads before making assumptions about MM and what happened??? They bought the greatest hits cd! And I went and bought a greatest hit Pat Benatar cd b/c I only had a tape from when I was little and I wanted to thank Pat somehow for helping introduce my friends to Martina.
