Just read that former President George W. Bush Sr. is endorsing John McCain.

Back in the early 90's, during college, my friend, Kirsten, introduced me to this singer named Renee Bondi. She's a Christian singer who's quadriplegic and had a CD out at the time. It was a beautiful CD--as Renee was told she'd never walk or sing again after the accident--and here she is singing.
My friend, Kirsten--her family knows Renee and her family...bought me her cd and told me a little bit of her testimony. (Which you can go to www.reneebondi.com to hear more).
Well at the time, I bought a Mary Chapin Carpenter CD--the one that has the song "Why Walk When You Can Fly". I brought the CD over to Kirsten's apartment and played the song to her. I said--this sounds like a perfect song for Renee to sing.
My friend was like, "Well, kind of" but she wasn't as 'convinced' as I was.
Well Renee came to our college campus to give us a testimony/concert and was selling her 2nd CD. I bought it. Guess what one of the songs on the CD was???? Yep, "Why Walk When You Can Fly".
Kirsten was a little surprised over how it all happened.

Now the 2nd part....

Besides Martina, I'm a big fan of Michael W. Smith. I only belong to two fan clubs--Michael's and Martina's.
Today I went to a day retreat at my church and the theme was on Forgiveness. It was being conducted by Fr. Joe Rodrigues, who has two CDs out of his own--to raise money for the ministry he's involved with) and he's "locally famous". On his 2nd CD, called "Divine Fire", he has two MWS songs--"Friends" and "Place In The World". (His versions are great--but not as great as Michael's--I'm biased).
Well during this retreat, he gave a few talks, of course, and in the middle of one of them, one of Michael's songs called "Healing Rain" came into my mind. Afterwards, I went up to Fr. Joe and I said, "You know, in the middle of your talk, a song came into my mind."
And I continued, "Have you heard of Michael W. Smith's song, "Healing Rain"?
And his response was "Well I'm working on a 3rd CD, and that is one of the songs that I will be doing".
I couldn't believe it...I was floored!
He told me that he was tweaking it a little bit, but ASSURED me that I would like it. (He knows that I'm a "Smitty" fan and like the "originals" better than any re-makes).
I couldn't believe it and I can't wait to get his new CD now.

Well, today, I actually went to a Hillary Clinton rally here in Tucson, Arizona.
While I'm not a Democrat (I am actually registered Independent-so I cannot vote in the Primaries this Tuesday) I thought it would be interesting to go to it.
Regardless of who you are for, if you have an opportunity to go to a big rally, go to it. I went to a John McCain rally 8 years ago when he was running for president last time, and it was interesting (but not as 'crowded') too.

Hi everyone,
I have a really good friend who owns a 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo that has less than 40K miles on it. It is in great condition. It's a 'special edition' Dale Earnhart Sr one.
Due to financial reasons, they are having to sell it and are asking for $14K for this vehicle.
If you are interested, please send me a message and I will get you in touch with them.
They live near Tucson, Arizona.
Take Care,
Barbara
