I just wanted to say, "Hi!" It's been a while... My dad is doing well so far. He is having some funny things happening to his feet, but other than that, he's okay. School is stressful. I need to do well on several tests, projects, and exams, so prayers are more than appreciated! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I hope that I've found everyone well!

God bless,
Holly

Hey! It seriously has been a long time since I have written anything on here. I'm doing pretty well. I made all a's last nine weeks, and if I keep up my grades, I might be saluditorian. Amy might be saluditorian, also. My dad is doing pretty well. There is a rather frightening element of GVHD, but he's hanging in there as best as he can. If he keeps doing well, he might be back home with us by Thanksgiving! That would just make my day! (IMG:http://martina-mcbride.com/martinaville/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I also felt it "fitting" to disclose that my best friend at school sang in a talent show, and she performed Martina's "Anyway." I heard her thinking of several songs, and I told her that she HAD to do Martina's! She won second, thanks to Martina writing such an amazing song. It showed off her voice, and I was so glad that everyone got to listen to one of Martina's best songs!

I realize that my paragraphing is horrific in this post, so I apologize. Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm doing okay and see how everyone is doing. We appreciate your prayers, and please keep them coming!

May God bless you all!

Sincerely,
Holly

Good: 1. My daddy's transplant date is August 8th. His donor agreed, and the date is pretty much set in stone.

2. After my cat Bandit died, we went to the humane society and adopted two gorgeous kitties! One is a big male, and the other is a little black kitten.

Bad: 1. My daddy's survival rate predicted by the medical field is about 10%. He is really in need of continuous prayers! He's very scared, tired, and weak. He's really not doing well.

2. I will not go into all of the disgusting details, but my new little kitten is having some severe abdominal discomfort. She is down to 1.6 pounds, and the vet thinks that she is okay but has excess bacteria in her stool samples. She is all ribs, and she's dehydrating herself. The vet says that she'll be okay, but she does NOT look healthy. She's on deworming medication and antibiotics for the nasty bacteria. I can lift her with my pinky, which technically, I cannot, because it'll cause her rib cage to collapse on her because of her low weight. Please say some prayers. She's so sick and thin, and not to mention, she looks absolutely frightened. I have grown quite attached to her, and I'm not prepared to lose another cat that I love. Please say some prayers for her. I know this seems like a frivolous and insignificant request, but she is my favorite kitty. I really would appreciate it.

God bless,
Holly

He was living in Iowa with my daddy. We were flying him with Mommy so that he'd be here when Daddy arrived for his transplant. However, he had a heart attack or stroke while the plane was landing, and he died. My mom tried to give him CPR for five minutes, but it didn't work. He was probably my best friend, and he's dead. I am so heartbroken right now!

What a trip! I loved it, but I had some seriously weird sutff happen! I am not going to get into the WHOLE story, but there were some "pedophile-like" qualities from one of the girls on the trip. (IMG:http://martina-mcbride.com/martinaville/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Weird, huh? I got to know the guy I like a bit more! We participated in a 2 and 1/2 hour political debate! I'm a Republican, and he's a Democrat, so we really had fun! I saw some beautiful scenery, and we got to sing at the Old Post Office. I truly believe we touched some lives, and maybe we even led some to Christ!

When we returned from our home concert, there was none other in the audience than my daddy! He flew in to see us before his pre-transplant appointment in Birmingham! We received some bittersweet news there... He found a perfect 10 out of 10 match, but his chances of survival are now around 10%. His transplant date is July 25th. My mom is leaving on Friday to pick up my dad's cat, and he's moving in on the 5th or 6th of July. On a lighter note, while Mom is gone, it appears we'll be making our first solo driving trip... We are all anxious, excited, and worried...

Thanks for your prayers, and please continue them!

God bless,
Holly
