No matter how much her overexposure may get to me, she is a very beautiful girl. But, since when does she play guitar?
Laura
I remember seeing her play the acoustic guitar in an "at-home" segment on AI when she was on there. I dunno about the electric. Also, remember Martina doesn't play the guitar either but in the MBLM video she's "playing". wink.gif

And I agree, Carrie is very beautiful.
Daniel
Martina playing a guitar for more than 1 song would turn me off because it is much bigger than a microphone stand and would make taking pics harder because I take full length pics more than face/eye pics. No comment about the pics of CU. Almost forgot this tongue.giflaugh.gif

Thanks Laura!

Very nice.
Can you just imagine how she'll look at 30 if she looks that good now?

Carrie is beautiful and has handled her instant fame so well! I'm sure all those classes in journalism helped her be so poised in front of the camera, b/c she is definitely very good at it! smile.gifLaura thanks for posting!!

I remember reading that Carrie has actually played the guitar since she was a teenager, her first guitar was an electric guitar, that she would play with her headphones on so not to annoy her family! smile.gifIt's something that she has always enjoyed, so I say good for her!! I think she was pretty amazing! She also played when she was on AI and on the Idol Live tour...she plays a few songs during her concerts as well! (Can you tell I'm a Carrie fan?) laugh.gif

She looked AWESOME! And by the way. for anyone who wasnt SURE... Carrie really DOES play the guitar! So she wasnt pretending! This show was the first time I have seen her play electric but she does an AWESOME cover of Sweet Child O Mine on the acoustic!!!!

She's totally gorgeous. I LOVE that black dress. I want one like that for Homecoming! I've always loved her hair...it's always PERFECT.

She DOES play the guitar, BUT it's only chords. A lot of people think she's "tearing" or "ripping" it up, but she's only playing chords. Pretty basic, easy stuff - you can learn it in about a year. ...Sorry, I'm so critical when it comes to guitar playing!
Reluctant Daughter
Oh, how I hate the shoulder cut of that white dress. huh.gifLOVE the black one, though. She looks really hot in it.

Thanks so much, Laura!

I wouldn't fault her for it Jenn (and I don't think that's what you are doing, btw.)

I once asked a guitar player/teacher friend about Paul Simon's guitar abilities as we were watching his great Concert in the Park. He replied "Eh...he's a chord banger. But that's not his talent."

So Carrie's a chord banger. But that's not why she's famous. But man did that guitar ever go with her outfit or what.

Cordially,

Tom

Haha, yep. Chord banger. That's what she is. But that's not what she's famous for. Dude, she has a GREAT voice - she could use some better songs though. And...that guitar was AMAZING. Gorgeous one. I want it so bad! She looked fabulous.

What was that guitar? It didn't look familiar, and I couldn't catch the name.
Kinda like a hollow-body Les Paul or something.

Wonder if this was her first electric?? I believe this photo is the cover of her second demo album (which she recorded Phones Are Ringing for).

It's a McPherson, it does look kind of like a Les Paul [that's what I have]. But that guitar matched her outfit so perfectly! I wish I could do that with EVERYTHING I wear. laugh.gif
