Right now it is "Lips of an Angel". Either version. I think hearing it three to four times a day on the radio since Sept or so and then twice that when the country version came out... uggggggggggg

So many to possibly choose from. One that's really on my nerves right now is Fergalicious by Fergie. The thing was released back in October and it's still driving me crazy.
But there are so many contenders: American Pie, The Lion Sleeps Tonight, SexyBack (Justin Timberlake), and any of Will Smith's rap pieces.

ohh baby baby... by Linda Rhonstadt!!!! we used to have a juke box in my restaurant and my crew knew that song made my nerves stand on edge.. So every night at closing.. they would turn it up and play in as loud as they could stand it.. So... when the juke box man came in one day to change the 45's.. I had him take it off and i baked it in the oven for about 10 minutes... til the edges of the 45 curled up and then i hung it on a string in the back room so they all would see it... I loved that... payback!!!

You've probably just heard one too many karaoke versions of it.

I still think it's a very cool song off a great album.
I'm not sure who should be chastised more, the people / person who penned " Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" or the person who green lighted it for release. All I know is someone needs some serious corner time to ponder their actions.
All the best,

I'm disappointed in your choice Mini! I thought for sure you would have picked "my" #1 hit song: "Heid Loves This Bar"!
Your memory must be slipping if you forgot how much you "loved" that song. I guess "Heid ain't as good as she once was".

Watching You by Rodney Atkins. Way overplayed on country radio here. Also, Beer in Mexico, I'll Wait for You, Stand, and Hillbilly Deluxe.
As far as Lips of an Angel, I wish country radio played it more here. I love it and they only play it once a week it seems.

I liekd this first single, the Hell Song,
but I disliked this from get-go, and now especially after hearing 1 million times.
If I never hear it again it will be too soon.
But I suppose I will when I go to Martina's show!

Anybody remember an old psycho-delic song called "Pictures Of Match-Stick Men"? It was out in '69 or '70 I think....Anyway I had kind of a sort-of-nervous-collapse in high school due to overwork, fatigue, & certain rotten kids at school; if that song came on at night it would literally send me into a panic attack (I guess it was like my "Psycho" music) I heard the intro in a store one day recently & I nearly dropped my groceries!!
Another song that still gives me heebies is "Lola" ("...la la la la Lola...") by the Kinks. There used to be a jukebox in the lunchroom at school & the was one little Beavis-type jerk (he really looked like Beavis!) who would play that song & come over to my table & when it got to the line, "...I know what I am and in bed I'm a man, and so's Lola..." he would sing it out loud IN MY FACE!! It took me years to get past that. Thank God for Weird Al Yankovic turning it into a song about Yoda from "Star Wars," because now I can smile when I hear it.

I'm sorry you hate that song so much...You ought to treat yourself to a listen to the original of "Ooo Baby Baby" (real title) by Smokey Robinson & The Miracles. Linda is a good singer but she really oversang some of those oldies. Another Motown classic she massacred is "Heat Wave." Anyway, go check out the simple elegant beauty of Smokey's original "OBB" (Smokey also wrote it)---the way his voice breaks in the middle when he says "Ba...bybaby..." LR doesn't song it, she yells it & stomps all over it!
Once you try the Smokey version, you'll wonder why you ever stood for the imitation!

I forgot about the excremental version LR did of Smokey's "Tracks Of My Tears"!! She shoulda been tied up & gassed for that one!!
