Devon and I went to a Loretta Lynn concert tonight in Mt. Pleasant, MI and here are some pictures if anyone wants to see...

The concert was definitely different from your normal concert, but it was cooL! Loretta is seriously the cutest person! She's really funny and likes to tell stories! Her daughter's and granddaughter also sang and they are all really good! She basically sat in a chair the whole time, which I dont blame her! ANd the whole night she basically just sang whatever people screamed out that they wanted to hear! It was a cool experience!

haha I agree Kristi! Loretta didn't move around too much, but she was definitely funny and that more than made up for it! And as you can see in the photos, we got to meet her family that was onstage with her & they were so fun and sweet!! Martina seems so much like a modern day Loretta with the songs that Martina has chosen to sing in comparison to Loretta's, and the sense of humor of course!! I'm SO happy that I got to see her! She was out there tonight b/c she wanted to be and still loves to do dates which is so cool given the fact that she doesn't HAVE to be playing any gigs with her age and status. So thanks much to my friends and the Lynn clan for a genuinely entertaining show!

Thanks kristi.
Very nice. I love Loretta. Her shows are so relaxed and different from the usual fare.

I can see why she sits. What is she, mid 70s now?

Cordially,

Yup. IMDB says 75 last April. She seems in good health, but we won't have her forever. Best we enjoy her every chance we get.

In regards to her age, I'm not sure what to believe. IMDB has her birth year as 1932, but the most common one I've seen is 1935, and some sites claim 1934.
