Martinaville > Martinaville > Country Music Room
Jessica Katie
I found out a lil info about the CD last night when I saw them out in Nashville. It has 11 tracks on it. They think I have heard them all since I have seen them perform since 2006. Oh well! I will love it Anyway! I've been told it really Rocks and just has a fresh new sound kinda like how the Dixie Chicks came out and it was really unique...that kind of feel I guess.

Here are some of the original tracks I've seen them perform.

All We'd Ever Need
Lookin For a Good Time
I Run To You
Long Gone
Things People Say
Love Don't Live Here
Loves Lookin Good on You
Can't Take My Eyes Off You
Woman Scorned
Mason Dixon Line
Slow Down Sister

That's all I can think of from their LIVE shows over the last couple years. Wonder how close I will be to the actual track listing??

I'm soooo excited for them! They are really happy. So cute to see them up on stage.

I will be buying this cd the day it comes out!! I have really started liking them. There is a song on youtube with jim brickman called "Your Never Alone" that is my favorite.. not sure if that was on his cd or will be on theres but either way its incredible!! I love them and cant wait to see them in concert!
Jessica Katie
"Never Alone" was recorded on Jim Brickman's last CD. You can also download it on ITunes...just type in Lady Antebellum.

Just a reminder: The CD hits stores April 15th smile.gif
Dream Master
I can't wait for the CD to come out myself.

I've heard them, and there is nothing even remotely resembling the sound or talent of the Dixie Chicks. (Politics notwithstanding.)
Maybe as I hear more, I will like them, who knows, but I gotta say, as it is now, I hear nothing that makes me want to listen.

I also think they have a funny name that will leave the public scratching its collective head.

There, I said it. I know no one asked, but I'm good at unsolicited opinions! (Should I duck now?)

Lady Antebellum ROCKS! I can't wait to hear more music from them!

Who said they sounded like the DC? No one - they sound "unique" just like the DC did when they first came out. And I remember that the DC were not all that great when they first come out but got great with each day. I think Lady A has potential for greatness - I hope they do not let it to their head like the DC did.

The music business is all about marketing. Lady A has the entire package going for them as far as looks and personality. They also have talent as well...they are still new at the game and will grow with time. The buzz around town is they will hit it big. I'm sorry but you don't put a MySpace page up with one or two songs and get thousands of hits in the first month if there isn't something there grabbing people's interest. That's what happened to them and they thought wow maybe we have a shot at this and decided to book their first gig at 3rd & Lindsley. As for the name...it may be diffrent but it has you talking doesn't it?? It all goes back to marketing! I think it's brilliant.

Yeah, I hear ya. All I'm saying is that some music moves ya, some doesn't. Heck, I have friends who tell me the same thing about Martina. (Of course, they're deaf crazies!)

And what does the name mean anyway. Maybe I'm obtuse, but it's inscrutable to me. ( It's not as if it's a perfectly understandable name like, say... Rascal Flatts. laugh.gif)

LadyA is AWESOME in concert!!! I was so impressed with them that I was genuinely disappointed that they left the stage after only a few songs on M's tour. Seems like they get all dolled up for 20 mins. or so, then they're just...done lol. I wanted more!! haha. I have marked April 15th on my calender for something other than tax deadline. wink.gif

I will definitely buy this cd when it comes out..

This is how they came up with the name Lady Antebellum....they decided it would be fun to take some pictures to help promote themselves while they were playing gigs at 3rd & Lindsley, so they went to a part of town where there are all these old "Antebellum" style homes like the Gone with the Wind era and they dressed up in the same style clothing. 2 men fighting over the beautiful woman. I've seen a few of the photos and they make me laugh...very creative on their part and it all came about just because with no purpose really behind it except to say...come see us sing! Here's what we look like.
Charles thought Antebellum was cool and decided to throw Lady in front of it. It's working...Lady A is what they are commonly refered to and Hillary definitely is their biggest marketing tool. Hope this helps you understand a little better. Not everything has a meaning...Sugarland is a town, but there's no meaning except it's catchy and unique...as is Lady Antebellum.

When Sugarland played Frederick MD a few years ago, Jennifer introduced the band by saying "We are Sugarland, which is the name of a town in Texas, but we're from Georgia, and we are here in Maryland tonight to sing a song called Tennessee." Funny.

Well, from the live shows, you're missing "Be Careful What You Wish For," "Gypsy Soul," "My Way," "Woman Makes the Man," "One Day You Will," "Brand New Life," "Emily"... and probably a few more I left out. But of these, I'm only aware of one possibly being on the album.

I know that there is at least one that is going to be on the album that none of us has heard. I'm going to keep the name a secret though smile.gif

Personally, I can't believe there's only going to be 11 songs on the album. I bet they're having/had such a hard time choosing.

Just what I know... smile.gif
