Martina McBride Internet Digest for Thursday, February 20, 1997
===============================================================
Hello everyone,
Welcome to yet another issue of the MMID. If you missed the other
mailings, Martina will be on the Liz Taylor birthday special which will air
on Monday night on ABC. She will sing a duet with Kevin Bacon, so be sure
to set your vcr's!
The single, Valentine, that Martina recorded with Jim Brickman continues to
do well on the AC charts, and Cry on the Shoulder of the Road is slowly
making it's way up the country charts. Please continue to call your radio
stations to request the song!
Look for some new changes to the web site soon. I apologize for the lack
of updates there for a while, but I recently purchased a new computer and
hit a few snags transfering data over to the new system. With this new
powerhouse, everything else should work pretty well! Of course, it has
made playing Nascar2 a lot more fun also... :)
Take care,
Darren

First off I want to thank the very talented Martina McBride for bringing
me back to country music. I was rock n roll crazy but now I am back to
listening to country music. I have been a fan of Martina McBride for
about six months now and I have been trying to find any music videos
of her at the stores. I keep coming up empty and I was just wondering if
anybody can help me out there. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you

Hi to all of you,
Did anyone else happen to see Martina's Valentine video with Jim Brickman?
It was not on the CMT Delivery Room, they have just been playing it.
Martina looks beautiful as ever. I just love every video she does!
Happy Valentine's Day!

Hello fellow fans! Well, I just finished watchin Martina on Good Morning
America. Could there be a better Valentine's Day Present? After watchin her
segment, I was absolutely speechless!!!! Is it just me or did Martina's
voice make the world stop for about 3 minutes??? You know that voice of hers
has been known to do that sort of thing! After watching her performance I
have only four words to say.... HAIL TO QUEEN MARTINA!!!! By the way, we
gotta keep pushin "Cry on the Shoulder of the Road". Talk to ya'll later,
your fellow McBrider, Eric Scoretz

Hi Everyone!
It's been a while since I last posted, so I thought it was time 2 fix that!
As I write this now...I'm listening to "Valentine" on repeat! :-) It's been
playing for a good hour now and I just can't get enuf...what a beautiful
song!
The video for Valentine is beautiful, not to mention emotionally moving!
When I saw it yesterday, I was just so touched and I looked at the song in a
whole new night after seeing the video. There are so many ways that song can
be interpreted. The magic of music! Martina is AMAZING in the video...and I
have 2 say, I just LOVE the hat she wears! :-) Hats rule! I hope everyone
got 2 see Martina and Jim on Good Morning America. M was quite festive in
her red suit! :-) It was great 2 hear Valentine live!!!! Martina and Jim
make a great team!!! I can't think of anything better 2 listen 2 then
Martina singing and piano playing....WOW! :-) I am so happy Valentine is
doing so great on the charts!!! YES!!!!
As for Cry On The Shoulder of The Road...it is getting airplay here now!!! I
am so happy, I've been calling the radio stations non-stop and bugging them!
:-) These things work! Now the song is in a good rotation and all the DJ's
luv it!!! That just rules! The video for COTSOTR is sooooo cool. It's
definitely a favorite M video...if not my absolute favorite. I think there's
a tie between that and Swingin Doors (where Delaney makes her second video
appearance!). I loved the COTSOTR immediately. M is playing a "character"
in the video and I think that just rules! Most of the time, she's like the
narrator, but not in this one. I also noticed she didn't have her wedding
ring on! That was weird 2 C (okay...okay..I'm very observant!). I have to
think of M in Vegas every time I watch COTSOTR...it was cold in that desert
people! 28 degrees! What a trooper Martina is! And whoever was the brilliant
mind who decided to put the 57 Chevy in the video rules! That car adds such
a classic touch. AMAZING!!!!
I guess that's about all 4 now everyone! I hope everyone is doing well,
requesting both COTSOTR and Valentine...and listening 2 M non-stop! :-) Talk
2 ya soon!!!

Greetings one and all,
I came across an article on the AP wires about a benefit Martina's
doing next month and thought I'de share.
MUSICAL MOTHERS: Martina McBride joins Beth Neilsen Chapman, Ashley
Cleveland and Jonell Mosser in a special Nashville concer March 1 to
promote UNICEF's Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative and Attachment
Parenting International. McBride and her concert partners all are, or
have been, breast-feeding mothers. Hal Hetchum, Kevin Welch and
singer-songwriter Danny Flowers will join the cast as supportive
fathers. The concert coincides with the first annual conference of
Breastfeeding Support Inc., a not for profit outfit based in Chalfont,
Penn., and the leading educator of healthcare professionals who work
with breastfeeding mothers.
Like I said, I just thought I'de share.
