Hello, group:
I may be the oldest member of this group (pushing the half-century mark),
and my wife and I have been fans of Martina since meeting her at FanFair in
1994. Since then we've met her several times, and she is one fine lady.
Next Friday I'm driving about 400 miles to Red Wing MN for her shows at the
casino (I figured if I'm driving that far, I may as well stay for both).
We're in Canada, about 200 miles north of Duluth; I run a small web page
tracking tour dates for a number of people, in hopes that they will come
withun my guideline of 500 miles from home.

a big city like Chicago! Thanks for the submission Foster! - Darren)

I do not feel that I can contribute much to the Digest but if there is any
way that you feel that I can help just let me know. Martina is my all time
favorite performer. I have seen her in concert twice this year (Tonight
being one of those two!) and really enjoyed her performances. Yep!.... I
just saw her in concert tonight "she left the stage about eight hours ago"
at Frank Erwin Center at the University of Texas in Austin Texas.
She opened for Clay Walker. Both Shows were fantastic. As always Martina
was beautiful, both in voice and in person. She opened with "Two more
bottle's of wine" and closed with "Independance Day" everything inbetween
was great!
The only thing that disapointed me was that the souvenir stand closed too
soon after she left the stage. I went out to see what was available and it
was gone. I was a little late for the show, and did'nt want to miss any of
it so we went on in with out hitting the stand first. Oh well guess I will
have to get an early start next time.
Hope this was of some interest to you.
For all of those who love that lady....
BYE!

(Thanks for the input Fred! A few people have asked if we could include
pictures of the merchandise available for order through the
"merchandise"
link off the page. I will see what we can do so you can shop from home
and still know what you are getting! -Darren)
