NASHVILLE, TN -- RCA recording superstar, Martina McBride, helped raise a record breaking amount for Nashville’s YWCA on Saturday at Hilton Park. The Annual YW Celebrity Auction hosted by Martina brought in $144,571.00 making it the most successful auction to date!
The temperature soared to the 90s, but neither heat nor humidity kept fans from bidding on their favorite stars’ items. Two bidders paid $20,000 a piece to record at Blackbird Studios, the McBride’s state-of-the-art recording studio, with Martina in the producer’s chair. Also, a poster from Martina’s performance at Radio City Music Hall sold for a staggering $5,000.00. And, a pair of jeans previously owned by Keith Urban was purchased for $4,000.00!
The Tennessean named Martina the most memorable performance of Fan Fair, and though she may deserve some rest after an exhausting week of activities, fans can still see Martina on her critically acclaimed Timeless Tour, check out the tour dates page for more information!
