MARTINA ONCE AGAIN TO HOST THE ANNUAL YWCA CELEBRITY AUCTION Posted on Thursday, April 6, 2006 On Saturday, June 10th, the 23rd Annual YWCA Celebrity Auction with Martina McBride will be held in Hall of Fame Park located in downtown Nashville between the Hilton Hotel and the Country Music Hall of Fame. The event is free and open to the public. The money raised goes to support the programs of the YWCA of Nashville & Middle Tennessee, which include domestic violence, youth job preparation and job readiness programs. In 22 years, the auction has raised over $750,000. Registration for the auction begins at 8:30 a.m., with bidding occurring from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Beginning at 9:30 a.m., fans will have the opportunity to purchase grab bags filled with posters, cds and promotional material for $10. This year’s line-up of celebrities includes emcee Jay Teter and Jimmy Wayne. Additional artists will be added closer to event.
