Multi-Platinum Recording Artist Martina McBride Hosts Lifetime Television All May, Including Mothers Day (May 14) Where She'll Reveal Even More Findings From The Lifetime Poll

Here comes the final month of the traditional television season. Turmoil inside Seattle Grace Hospital. Wigging out on Wisteria Lane. Howie Mandel wheeling and dealing. And will Will and Grace finally…? Maybe some cable networks would duck and run, but this May, Lifetime Television unleashes The Mother of All Months movie marathon, which premieres a new movie every day in May and showcases a glittering procession of stars, such as Ellen Pompeo, Poppy Montgomery, Nicollette Sheridan, Marcia Cross, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Brooke Shields, Shelley Long, Harvey Keitel, Connie Nielsen, Mia Kirschner, Kelli Williams, Anne Archer, Adam Arkin, Amy Madigan, Rose McGowan, Kelly Rowan, Annabeth Gish and Cybill Shepherd.

Hosted throughout the month by the Four-Time Country Music Association’s Female Vocalist of the Year and proud mom to three girls, Martina McBride, Lifetime’s 31 new movies in May begin Monday, May 1 and run through Wednesday, May 31.

"I took a break from my Timeless tour to host this month of movies for Lifetime, and it was so much fun! I've always been a fan of Lifetime and was excited when they invited me to do this," says the Grammy Award-winning singer, Martina McBride. McBride is currently touring in support of her new album Timeless, with her family along for the ride. It’s definitely a family affair! says McBride. Her live show, a combination of songs from Timeless and previous Martina hits, has produced a string of sold-out concerts across the country and will continue throughout the summer. Timeless debuted at number one on the Billboard Country Music Chart and number two on Billboard’s overall Pop Chart and was certificd platinum by the RIAA less than eight weeks after its release. The album has become her fastest million-selling effort to date and Timeless marks her eighth platinum album with total sales in excess of 16 million. ‘This One’s for the Girls’ and ‘In My Daughter’s Eyes’ are two of my signature songs that reflect my feelings of being a mom and hopes for my daughters, says McBride.

MOTHER’S DAY POLL FINDS REESE WITHERSPOON IS HIPPEST MOM WITH JENNIFER LOPEZ AND JENNIFER ANISTON MOST LIKELY TO BECOME NEW MOTHERS THIS YEAR ACCORDING TO NEW LIFETIME WOMEN’S PULSE POLL

Beautiful, successful -- and now Oscar-winner Reese Witherspoon can add Hippest Mom to her resume! To celebrate Mother’s Day, the Lifetime Women’s Pulse Poll* surveyed nearly 1,000 Lifetime viewers nationwide, who found Reese Witherspoon the hippest mother, ahead of Kelly Ripa, Kate Hudson and Jennifer Garner, while saying Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Aniston (Marc and Vince, are you listening?) are the celebrities most likely to become pregnant this year.

As she will throughout May, singer Martina McBride will serve as on-air host during the Sunday, May 14 Mother’s Day movie festival, which runs from 11AM-11PM (ET/PT), highlighted by the 5PM (ET/PT) U.S. Television Premiere of Honeymoon with Mom, starring Shelley Long, Jack Scalia and Virginia Williams.

During The Mother of All Months, Martina will share results from the latest poll, answer viewer questions, share her experiences as a mom and talk about her latest projects. "I had fun learning the results from Lifetime's poll and hearing all about how other moms feel. In my music, you can hear how much being a mother has impacted by life. I love to share experiences with other moms and hosting this movie marathon was so much fun!" says McBride. She made sure to fit this into her busy schedule that includes performing to sold-out audiences on her Timeless tour and taking care of her three young girls.

The Lifetime Women’s Pulse Poll also found that women looking for a Mr. Mom to clean their house and take care of the kids selected Tim McGraw, beating out Dr. McDreamy (Patrick Dempsey from Grey’s Anatomy ). But when the vacuuming’s done and they’re looking for someone to tuck them in at night, Matthew Fox ( Lost ) and Ricardo Antonio Chavira ( Desperate Housewives ) were the chocolate on the pillow, edging out Usher and Simon Cowell of American Idol.

How good were their own mothers at giving advice? More than 30 percent said parenting tips were the best advice they ever received, but nearly as many (28.4%) said their mother was horrible at giving advice – such as the mere 2.3% who said their Mom offered pearls of wisdom about sex.

No matter whether their mother was right about raising children or Tim McGraw cleaned the oven, an overwhelming number (76.6%) believed motherhood is harder than when they were young girls.

Among other poll findings:

Far and away (58.9%), the one chore women would gladly surrender is cleaning the house;
Twice as many women (42.9% vs. 21.3%) would rather have a maid than a personal trainer;
Paul Simon’s Mother and Child Reunion was the best song with the word mom in the title over Willie Nelson’s Mamas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys;
More than a quarter of the women (26.1%) were glad they didn’t inherit their mother’s neuroses, followed by fashion sense (18.7%) and physique (9.7%);
As for life in suburbia, Susan Mayer (Teri Hatcher) and Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman) were the favorite Desperate Housewives moms.

*About the Poll
