In Response To: WOW, what a week.... (2 More Bottles)
Geez, Chris, so glad to hear that you are ok now though! It makes my whole week last week and my weekend seem like nothing! All I had to do was get Kylie to Girl Scouts on Monday right after work. Tuesday, I had to leave work early to get her to get her pictures done for dance class, Wednesday I went dancing myself for the first time in about a month, Thursday night I had a Pampered Chef party at my house, then on Friday, I helped chaperone a kindergarten trip to the Discovery Center for Kylie! THEN...that night I had a Mary Kay debut for my sister in law and some time during the day on Thursday I managed to get sick also. Really bad sore throat, sinus trouble, etc. (That made the bus trip REAL fun!) From the debut, I had to ride w/my MK director out to my camp where Dave and Kylie had already gone. I got there around 1 AM Saturday morning (we all know how late that is for an OLD lady like me!). Of course Kylie doesn't sleep in so I was up again early and trying to get moving. Well, for 3 weekends in a row now, our camp refrigerator hasn't been working. They gave us a small one to put on our deck so that we'd have at least something. Well, somehow, that one got put on MAX!!! I had Pepsi in there. Ever see what happens to a can of Pepsi when it freezes????? It's NOT funny! At least I wasn't thinking it was since I was tired AND feeling miserable. For the rest of the weekend, I was just trying to recover from my week and get over the cold. Oh, did I mention the hives??? First I got them on my eye lid, now that's attractive, huh Happimom? =) Then by the time I got home from camp last night, my hands were covered with them. I woke up w/clubs on the end of my arms instead of hands! It's awful. The swelling is finally going down this morning, they almost look like hands again.
But now I honestly feel like that's all easy stuff to deal with! It's way better than ending up in the hospital! See Shauna, that's why we should listen to our parents!!! =) Glad you listened to them Chris! I hope you didn't have to pay the full amount for the rental car!!!! I am sure they would have given you a break on it since you were in ICU for crying out loud! But what's with the hair cut??? I thought you were going long? Have you changed your mind again? Someone didn't want you cutting your hair off!!! Anyway, good luck with it this time and so glad to hear that it was a happy ending!
Val, sorry to hear about your uncle. I had an aunt go through the same just a couple of years ago when my own mother was so ill. It was tough but it's amazing how positive they can be right up to the end.
Ok, guess I should find some work to do now since I played hookie on Friday to do that wonderful field trip. Good luck w/those 857 kids Val, I'm DONE! =)
