 My First Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all you moms, aunts, grandmothers, sisters, and anyone mother-like person out there!!! I have always thought of this day as a very important day because of how close I am with my mother...now it means so much more because I am (finally) able to share the day with her! I feel so loved!
We had a very nice evening at the boardwalk...cheesesteaks, ice cream and crane games! Good times. Alison (my almost 5 month old) went on her first and second merry-go-round rides. One with Grandma and Pop, one with Mommy and Daddy. Very exciting! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) This morning Mom and I opened presents. I got a very nice charm that says "I Love My Mommy" from Alison (meaning my husband, George) and a kisses and hugs bracelet with MOM on the hearts from my parents. A to be announced present from my brother, Tom and his girlfriend, Deanna (it hasn't come yet) and my adorable 5 year old Godson Brandon painted me a box with a frame on top that we can put our picture in. My husband and my dad also gave us a combo gift...we are going to SUPER SOAP WEEKEND November 10-12!!!!!!!!!!! We are so excited about this you have no idea!!!!!!! Can't freakin' wait!!!!!! My dad, husband and brother have been going down to Port Saint Lucie, Florida evey year for Mets Spring Training, which is more then fine! Mom and I keep saying this is OUR "Spring Training". (This is the part where I hope there are other soap opera fans out there in Martinaville who are excited for me.) I just wanted to share my special day with you all! Thanks for reading! Hey, what's with this 'going to Port St. Lucie, Florida every year' stuff? We've only gone down to Spring Training once. Maybe we have gone to a few away games here and there (and there and over there, too) not to mention all those the Jets games - but not Spring Training!
I'm glad that this day was everthing you had hoped it would be. You deserve every minute of it. And to everyone who had asked to see a photo, that is my beautiful grand daughter Alison in my avatar. Congratulations! The pictures are gorgeous of your little girl! As for Soap weekend...I would LOVE that!! How exciting! Days of Our Lives is my favorite, but I like many actors from the other soaps as well. Enjoy your weekend with the stars!! Loved the gifts you recieved as well.
