Okay, now that the Grammys are over, does anybody know when the nominations are announced and when they air??? If memory serves, I think they usually air in May...but does anyone know specifics?

I am really anxious to see how many awards Carrie will win!! hehe! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Yep! May 18, 2008. As much as I love awards shows, this is the hardest for me to watch, because I live in vegas, and knowing that only 30 minutes away from my house there is a huge event going on with TONS of stars i love sooo sooo sooo much IT IS SO HARD TO WATCH! I have never gone, its way too expensive and even the really pricey seats aren't that good, so I end up watching it on my couch..but oh well! Its just annoying thinking that all those people are so close and you could easily be there, but you aren't! okay enough rambling. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

...it is actually the cmT (tv channel) awards that are on april 14. the CMA's are generally held each november. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

My birthday is the 18th of May!!! Wow, I guess I am going to be super busy that weekend. Saturday is prom!!! And then my birthday and my friends are taking me go-karting for my birthday and a bunch of my family is coming up for prom and my birthday. And now the awards....I guess I will just have to have my party during them. Thank God I get the 19th off of school or I would just be out of steam.

Agree 100% without a doubt it should win Song of the Year. I really think it has an excellent chance. He debuted the song on this award show. The impact was huge and the advertisement for the ACM's was big. The video from the show was shown and viewed on YouTube over a million times. Good promotion for the award show.

I actually heard the reason it didn't get a nod at the CMA's cause it was connected to the ACM's and they are rival award shows.

So don't be surprised IMO if this doesn't win Country Song of the Year and it would be well deserved.

Yes, I defintely think Martina should win and win BIG but as for Country Song of the Year no matter how great Anyway was the song If Your Reading This just struck a cord more with listeners and its is the Song of the Year IMO without a doubt.
