I just bought our tickets for the IL State Fair in August for Martina & CDJ. Thank you to Keith for posting the info and the link for the tickets. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I bought standing room only on the track since we would be standing anyway during the show. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I wonder how Keith new about the onsale, since the fanclub website showed TBA, until this weekend. The tickets went onsale in April, but the fan club didn't notify us or even know themselves. I have sent emails to Tracy but she hasn't responded.
Upper Grandstand is all that is left. Not worth the 4 hour drive to go to this show with those seats.
Really disappointed with Tracy and Darren on this one.

I'm afriad I can't let you use the word "disappointed" and "Tracy/Darren" in the same sentence (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

It's a Fair show...so there is no Pre-sale so Tracy is not involved...and Darren can't update the site every single night so its understandable that this show was missed. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I just checked and Ticketmaster still has what I would consider good seats available in the reserved bleacher seating. Those seats are betweent the track and the grandstand seating. I bought tickets the morning they went on sale and went with the bleacher seating over the grandstand because they were closer. I didn't chose the track because I know that will be standing room only. I'm too short for that!

If Tracy is not involved, then why did she send an email that said the Illinois show was still listed as a TBA. Where would we learn that Fair shows are not presale? Even if there was no presale for fan members, wouldn't you think they would at least list an onsale date for the fans to see her.

Could've been worse. What about not finding out about concert until day after?

I've read about it happening once this year... already! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I trust that to be true, I don't want to tie up TM to find out myself. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Some fans just like to nit pick about "anything and everything". Gosh, that is a song on Emotion! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I posted this as soon as I bought our tickets. There was a link posted by Keith for the show listing both Martina and CDJ as being there. I just followed the link. I figured if it was through Ticketmaster then the show was legit, if not they would refund the price of the tickets(minus thier fees, of course) . Keith goes to a lot of Martina shows as well as a lot of CDJ shows. He posted on CDJ's website that he had talked to CDJ at one of her shows and she told him that she was going to be opening for Martina at the IL State Fair. We read both boards so that is where we found out about it. I figured by posting it other Martina fans would be able to follow the link provided by Keith and purchase tickets also.

If you go to the CDJ website and read the bulletin board you will see a post from Keith about the IL State Fair show. (If your not a member you will have to register just like on the Martina BB) If you have never seen CDJ she is an amazing singer/songwriter and she used to be in Martinas band. She is also singing backup on WUL. Martina and CDJ all in one show. how can you go wrong?

I just bought trackside tickets a few minutes ago - there were plenty available. I have never been to the Illinois State Fair - is trackside strictly Standing Room Only, or do you bring lawn chairs? I'm not sure...

Thanks!

I have only been to 2 concerts where we had trackside seats and we stood throughout the whole show, we did not even take chairs. . There were some people who had chairs and they ended getting upset at all of the people who were standing up but that is hat happens at concerts, especially Martina concerts!
