Here's the cover, from Country On-Demand:
They have two news stories posted about the CD/DVD, including a tracklisting, but it says they are still working on hammering out the fine details. I know one of the editors there and he told me that they are hearing a few different things, so just hold on tight and check back with them. They should have everything figured out by day's end.

I'm waiting for the final word from Martina's people. There has been way too much speculation about "Martina's version" of the LIVE CD/DVD release apart from PBS. When Martina is ready to talk. She'll talk. And I have no doubt Martinaville will be the first to know the scoop!!
Everyone keeps asking what we are waiting on...why Martina hasn't said anything...probably because she is still mixing the LIVE CD.
My hope is, this track listing is wrong. It seems since this is Martina's first LIVE CD she would give you more than 8 songs. The DVD is exactly like the PBS version.

I bet Martina just wants to give us a big surprise.
It's not like they are keeping it a secret just in case some other artist or record company will steal the idea and release a Marina Live CD/DVD.

I'm hoping for at least 12 selected songs from the first and second set list at Moline, a CD version and a DVD version.

For those of you who haven't seen it yet, here is the story from Country-on-Demand:
Martina's First LIVE CD/DVD Hits Stores In April
We posted about this before, but now it's confirmed. Martina McBride: Live In Concert will be available on April 29, 2008.
This will be a CD/DVD set with the first disc being a CD and the second disc being a DVD. The track listing is as follows:
Disc 1 - CD
Happy Girl
Anyway
Concrete Angel
From The Ashes
Whatever You Say
This One's For The Girls
Independence Day
Hit Me With Your Best Shot
Disc 2 - DVD
Billie Jean
Anyway
When God Fearin' Women Get The Blues
Wild Angels
My Baby Loves Me
Tryin' To Find A Reason
How I Feel
Happy Girl
(I Never Promised You A) Rose Garden
You Ain't Woman Enough
Help Me Make It Through The Night
Where Would You Be
Concrete Angel
For These Times
Medley: Love's The Only House/Blessed
This One's For The Girls
A Broken Wing
Independence Day
Don't Stop Believin'
Hit Me With Your Best Shot
Over The Rainbow
The music on the DVD will be in 5.1 Surround Sound. As of now there are no extras confirmed for this release. We're wondering what "Billie Jean" is because she didn't perform this when the concert was taped, but this was what we received from SONY/BMG. If there are any changes of course we'll let you know.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
^^^^^
If they are indeed doing a CD/DVD combo pack, I think it's a great idea to put some of the songs from the "extra" set that she did on the CD portion (for example, "Whatever You Say") so that material is preserved. However, I hope the live CD has more than eight songs...that's just not enough!!!!!

AGREE HERE -
With the DVD, we do have the audio for twenty (20) songs, so making a CD copy of the DVD's audio (to listen to in the car) is possible.
But why have six of the eight songs on the CD as repeats?
Why can't the CD just have the remaining Elite Eleven songs that did not make the DVD?
Want fan would not want these live songs in a CD collection?
Its My Time
Cry Cry (til the Sun Shines)
She's A Butterfly
Safe in the Arms of Love
From The Ashes
If I Had Your Name
Whatever You Say
Phones are Ringin'
Cheap Whiskey
Heartaches by The Number
I'd Still Be Me
It's not like these are just fan favorites or deep-album cuts...
Safe and WYS both went to #2
It's My Time went to #11
and Phones are Ringin and Cheap Whiskey were both Top 40
Please include these songs, at least in CD format!

I have to wonder how "accurate" and up to date this release info is. With a lot of Martina's shows's clocking in around 85 minutes, you would think they would try to edit out some talking and fit as much of the show on one CD as possible. Maybe the 8 songs listed on the CD are the tracks already completed in the mixing session.
I do think Martina's commentary during the PBS special would be good "extra material" as well.

I'm lucky I have a DVD Audio Ripper Program so that I can rip audio from DVDs to mp3s. So I will get any songs that on the DVD as mp3s that are not on the CD. I did that for the last Madonna concert so I was able to get Live To Tell as it was not on the CD.

You know, I've been thinking of this, and I think it's a great idea to make the live CD with a mix of stuff that's on the DVD as well as at least a couple things that are not, such as "Whatever You Say" and "From the Ashes." So, if that is the actual track listing for the CD/DVD combo, I'll be more than satisfied, because I'm just thrilled to be getting live material!!! Most of the songs that people have been saying they want on the CD are on the DVD anyway (aka WWYB and BW) so at least we'll have those songs live in some way. Of course, I'll still be crossing my fingers for more than eight tracks on the CD, but I do like the idea regardless of putting some songs from the DVD concert and some that didn't make the DVD.

I wonder if putting less tracks on the CD makes the package as a whole more affordable for us. Either way, the more I'm thinking about it, I'm pumped!! I can't wait for this!
BTW, an eight-track CD isn't unheard of...Martina's Hallmark CD back in 2005 was eight tracks and it's still fantastic! I'll still hope that an official announcement will give the CD some more tracks, but if it doesn't, and that's what it is, I'm still thrilled...I love the songs they put on the CD portion. I'm especially glad we'll get the live version of "Whatever You Say" on the CD AND "Where Would You Be" on the DVD. It just doesn't get any better than that! And I'm also just stoked at the idea of being able to preserve an ENTIRE Martina McBride concert on DVD...that's the REAL prize here!!!!

I am so excited at the prospect of a live CD, and having basically the entire concert I saw on DVD (well, I wasn't at THAT show, but the same set list). I don't mean to offend anyone, we all have a right to voice our views, but I feel like she could put out a live CD of every song she ever did, and someone would complain that "she should have covered ...." or "she should have added some new songs". Let's look at the positive here. I'm sure the CD & DVD will be awesome, regardless of the exact final song list. We are supposed to be Martina's biggest fans and SUPPORTERS.
OK, I'm done lecturing, and I hope there are no hard feelings. We are still a family here after all.

I was thinking the same thing...I'm sure whatever ends up being part of the final product for the live DVD/CD is going to be AMAZING no matter what...Of course, just like everyone else said, 8 tracks on the CD doesn't seem like enough, but at least the DVD would more than make up for that...Besides, there could be 18 live tracks and then some, but it is Martina after all, so we'll always want more and more...she just has that effect on people

So, on that note, I can't wait to find out what will officially end up being released and here's to trying to be patient (I'm great with patience, just not when it has something to do with Martina

Agreed. None of us know how or why things like this are decided, but I'm sure it's not based on letting down the fans. Unless Martina decides to hand all of her career choices over to us, we're not all going to be pleased all of the time. Frankly, I get annoyed from time to time with people suggesting how she should dress...how she should produce her CDs...what she should or shouldn't sing...and how she's marketed and promoted.
