I prefer to have the actual hard copy of the cd. Then I can just put it in my iTunes.

Depends on the album.

Same here. I will always go buy Martina's CD's and a few other artists at the store but I get a lot of stuff off I-Tunes too. I like I-Tunes because I'm still paying for the music but I don't have to find a place to store all of the CD cases...it just goes straight onto the computer.

Same.

Also, I don't buy that many full albums on iTunes, but I buy TONS of songs. But as far as full albums go, there are some I definitely prefer having the full set for.

When I buy something I always burn my own CD. That way if my iPod crashes, I won't be out the money I spent on downloads. It would be very wise for you to the same.

CDs have an advantage. The original disc is a back up.

I just thought I'd add that. I really do like both ways. Like I said, depends on the album.

First of all, i HATE the very concept of DLing music. I think I've only done it about three times in my life,a dn one of them was to get Blue Bayou.
I prefer something I can hold see and feel as well as hear.

Secondly, and this is very big deal to me, I can't tolerate the sound of MP3s and other such low bitrate recordings. So compressed, so lideless, so distorted. Music is supposed to relax us. Those things just make my life worse. (Anyone else notice this?)

Cordially,

Tom

I download some songs, but mostly I perfer to buy the cds. I like having the lyrics, and the liner notes and all that! Also, I like to listen to the whole albums, not just one song.

I prefer buying CDs from stores. That way you get the best sound quality possible, plus all the CD booklets/inserts/artwork.

I've only downloaded from iTunes once, just to get the "Blue Bayou" bonus track on their version of Waking Up Laughing, and the "Anyway" video. The only reason I'll ever download from iTunes is to get a bonus track or video of Martina's (or some other singer/group that I'm also a big fan of) that can't be bought anywhere else.

depends.. If its an artist I love, I will buy their cd. but I love the convenience of ITunes.. Since I either have to travel 25 miles or 50 to the nearest store where they sell cds.

I don't have any music on a PC. I've never actually downloaded a song - but a friend has found me hard to come by or 'obscure' tracks by downloading.

I love going into a store and having a good hoke for what's out there. I'll also buy online, but not download. I like to have the whole package - and I love to read liner notes!!!

I'd rather go buy the cd, but for some rock artists I dont mind just downloading a few of their songs as opposed to buying the whole cd.

I like to have the CD...

I hate itunes and apple... long story.

I love my zune, but i prefer a CD so that you can put the music on whatever computer you want without having to email/burn it for yourself.

In all the time that I've had an Ipod, I think I've only bought maybe 3-4 songs from Itunes and that was only in the first month or two of having it. I always buy the album in the store because I like having the entire package in addition to the songs.

If you download an "album" without downloading every song on it... you haven't actually downloaded the album. Only complete album download purchases count towards digital sales of the album.

I end up buying every song on the album when I download. As for quality - I find that my ipod with a very good pair of speakers- or even on the base will give me a good quality sound...
besides - do people actually still have a stereo - or just listen to the CD in the car driving around..
