Basically, I'm a music nut. I write songs almost every day. My other passions include running, cooking, and surfing. I'm probably one of the biggest beach bums you'll meet! I'm a true-blue Florida Cracker.

I'm a music junkie. But I hate any kind of music that is commercial. I listen to music that y'all have probably never even come across. That's okay. I like being different.

I'm also a full-time student/athlete. I do everything from dance to track to girls' flag football.

We are in love with Mexican food. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ...My friend Chelsea and I were bored on a Friday night because we couldn't do anything - we had to pick up our French exchange students at 9:30. Way to kill a perfectly good night. But anyways, I picked up a guitar and started playing Em and Am over and over again [it sounds very Mexican, doesn't it? I love it] and she randomly screams out "TACO BELL!" So I say "dude, let's record this!" ...It's not supposed to be serious at all. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

"Taco Bell (Moe's)"

DISCLAIMER: This is in no way racist...I'm part Spanish, myself.

Just As Hard

Mama's in the kitchen, pouring another bottle
Pictures seem to just fall off the walls
Stumbling through halls, opens the door
Baby's playing quietly on the floor

Chorus
Today was just as hard
As yesterday's hell
Now they're falling apart
If you could, Lord, keep 'em well

Mama feels her tears like rain on the window
But she don't want no one to know
Fresh mascara before going to the store
A better day is all she prays for

Chorus
But today was just as hard
As yesterday's hell
Now they're falling apart
If you could, Lord, keep 'em well

She's familiar with Jack and Southern Comfort
But she can't go there, thing's'll be a blur
Her baby's in his room, been crying all night
Though she's barely living, kisses him goodnight

Chorus
Today was just as hard
As yesterday's hell
Now they're falling apart
If you could, Lord, keep 'em well

Mama misses daddy every now and then
But he still loves her, all the way from heaven
Baby's all grown now, he helps his mama
'Cause she's a fighter and still stands tall

I feel like I should enlighten some of y'all. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) THIS is what country music is about. It's not about who can sell the most albums, look the hottest, have the most magazine covers...this 'subgenre' is about who makes the best music, and all the artists set out to do just that. It's what great music is all about.

To get y'all introduced to this type of music [which is actually what country is supposed to be], check out:

Kacey Musgraves - Singer-Songwriter Kacey Musgraves Original Texas Music
Adam Hood - Adam Hood
Chris Knight - http://www.chrisknight.net/
Jason Boland & The Stragglers - JASON BOLAND & THE STRAGGLERS - MUSIC
Charlie Robison - || Charlie Robison || Official Site ||
Jack Ingram - y'all heard of him, hopefully
Miranda Lambert - y'all have hopefully heard of her
Cross Canadian Ragweed - CROSS CANADIAN RAGWEED

Y'all go check 'em out now. That's some of the best, truest music you'll ever hear. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

This is for you TEEE! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Polishing My Gun

My pistol's been screaming your name
Ever since you been playing her game
Don't forget I know how to aim

I know where you been hiding at
You got one predictable vanishing act
Boy, you still always come crawling back

Chorus
So, I'm in the shed just waitin' for you
Got all your tools spread out on the floor
If you only knew how to tell me the truth
I wouldn't be here, sittin' by the door
My heart used fall every time you walked by
But now I'm down here, coming undone
You're gonna wish you never made me cry
'Cause I'm waiting for you, polishing my gun

One more beer, another cigarette
You still ain't come home yet
But I'm fine alone in this shed

You better have her in your hand
Nobody comes between me and my man
Baby, I'm sure she'll understand

Chorus

I was born and raised with rebel pride
And you ain't got nowhere left to hide

Chorus
