I have been written songs since I was 17. At age 19, I have two songs under my belt and one I am thinking about writing. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Here is my first masterpiece called "My Day Will Come" about wanting real love to come to you, but not knowing for sure when it will. This song came after a 2year relationship ending badly for me, so it is really personal. I hope you like it.
My Day Will Come (Joe Ellis) I’ve always been the one to search for love Hoping to find it under the stars above Thinking I’ll met her soon enough No, I ain’t all that tough Loving you has been rough That’s when God tells me I’ll just have to give up ‘Cause I’m not ready fall in love CHORUS: And see her smiling underneath the sun Letting me know I’m the only one I’ll put my heart to rest Get this weight off my chest My day will come I’ll wake up to hear her whispering in my ear “You are safe and have nothing left to fear” That’s when I’ll say “Girl, you don’t know just how long I waited” 2nd CHORUS: To see someone smiling underneath the sun Letting me know I’m the only one The weight will be off my chest I’ll finally put my heart to rest My day will come I will be loved for me I will be free to be who I want to be Then all the fear inside of me will be gone I’ll have the chance to move on (Repeat 2nd CHORUS) My day will come Oh, my day will come |

Also, please remember both of my songs are NOT for recoping or recording of any kind. I plan to have someone arrange them, so I can record them myself somday.
