Wildflower [capo 2nd fret]
[D] I saw you sitting [A] next to her Not [D] listening to a [D7] word she had to [G] say [D] Soon as she finished her [A] last word You [D] came right [D7] over and [G] stayed She [D] doesn't even know bout the [A] pain you never [D] show [A] [D] [D7] Chorus 1 You'd [G] dance till dawn with [D] me in your arms Then you'd leave me here on my [A] own [D] She's just a rose till the [A] petals fall off But you're [D] wildflower's still [A] wild as they [D] come I see you drive by our old house In your same ole beat up chevrolet I'll admit, I really miss us too But you have a promise at the end of the day The heartache's all mine, but yours will come in time Chorus 2 You've written me notes, I haven't opened them yet Cause no matter what, she still won She's just a rose till te petals fall off But your wildflower's still wild as they come Chorus 3 You said I'd be yours till forever ends I guess the firey ending is done She's just a rose till the petals fall off But your wildflower's still wild as they come [G] You're wildflower's still wild as they come |

It's about a man and a woman. They both messed up their relationship pretty bad, but they both miss each other. But, then, the man is in a new relationship and things are going pretty well. It's just when he's around his old flame, the his current wife/girlfriend is just "blah" to him.

The first rule in songwriting that you must learn is that in these "relationships gone bad" is that the man is NEVER.........and I mean EVER........wrong. We are always innocent. Like Snoop. Allllllllegedly. I have no idea where you get some of your lyrical ideas but you have a very creative mind. I love the comparitive/contrasting lines about "just a rose until the petals fall off" and the "wildflower still as wild as they come". Great stuff there! |

Awsome! I love it! I agree: the "just a rose until the petals fall off" and the "wildflower still as wild as they come" work so well! Way to go!
