I don't know if anyone here (besides WW24) has heard of a new country group called Lady Antebellum, but they just popped up on my radar screen and from the little I've heard I think they are just NAILZ!

They have their first single out right now called "Love Don't Live Here" and it is #45 after 3 weeks on the R&R Country charts. There is a cool video for this song that just debuted last week on CMT which is really good. I think it is mostly live footage from this Summer when they opened for Carrie Underwood. Their debut CD is due out in early Spring of 2008 and they can count on at least one person buying it......namely me.

The group is 2 guys and a gal and one of the guys and the gal alternate as lead singers depending on the songs ala old Fleetwood Mac. The guy sounds alot like Scott Stapp the former lead singer of Creed. His voice and the general kick buttedness of the song caught my attention........and then the female singer's looks and voice did likewise. If you know what I'm sayin'.

The female's name is Hillary Scott who ends up being the daughter of Linda Davis. I thought she was REALLY good looking from the video and when I found out her Mom was Linda I quickly figured out why!!!! And she can freaking sing! Flat out! She may sing better than she looks.........which is saying ALOT.

She seems to be a rockstar in country clothing from what I've seen.

The song that she sings that blows me away is "Woman Scorned", which is pretty much the same theme as "Gunpowder and Lead". With a line in the song "She peppered him with bebees cause she couldn't find a 12 Gauge" you can see why I make the comparison to "G&L".

From the few songs I've heard they seem to be very rockish country.........which is a good thing. A very good thing! They seem to be part Little Big Town, part Fleetwood Mac, part Creed, part Miranda Lambert which is a very NIIIIIIIIIIICE combination if you ask TEEEEEE!

This group has definately caught my attention and I am going to be seriously looking into more of their music in the very near future. They have a great sound with two seperate lead vocalists that rank right up there in vocal ability with the best Country music has to offer.

Danielle Peck is singing the National Anthem at tonight's ALCS game at Cleveland. Not a big deal on the surface but this story does have some irony to it.

The Red Sox are facing elimination tonight at Cleveland being down 3-1 and are starting their ace pitcher Josh Beckett tonight. Ironically, Danielle Peck is his ex-girlfriend and there was some speculation that the Indians did this purposely just to get inside of Josh Beckett's head. One sports talk show host thought it might be a great idea for the Indians just to station D. Peck behind home plate just to distract Josh. Not that she would pose much of a distraction to Josh or to guys in general. Certainly it would not distract me........or so I claim.

Unfortunately, I just found out that Danielle was scheduled for singing the National Anthem for this game some time ago from Heidi.........who ruined my thinking that this was possibly done intentionally by the Indians during such a key game. Darn Heidi, anyway.

I was wondering if anyone had heard from Katrina or Kathy (SoMagical) recently? The last word from Katrina was on Spetember 19th when she was in the hospital getting treated for Crohn's (sp?) Disease. And Kathy's due date for her son was September 18th and she has not been heard from since Spetember 11th.

I can see where both may be a just a little busy to be on the board but at the same time their respective absences are a little worrisome. Just wondering if anyone has heard from either of them?

I was wondering if anybody knew what Miranda's next single was going to be? I am starting to think that it is "Gunpowder and Lead" since I see that CMT has just put the live performance of the song that Miranda and Jack Ingram did on CMT Cross Country. And since that episode of CMT Cross Country aired a month ago this is not being used as a promo for the show. So I am thinking that this is an indicator that "G&L" is the new single.

I'm all good (THRILLED actually) if this is being released as a single but disappointed if this is the offical video as it is not a duet and since it is from a CMT show, I assume the video will not be shown on GAC which will cut the song's exposure down greatly.

The song and the live performance video do ROCK THE HOOOUUUUSE though. Don't misread what I'm sayin'.........if you know what I'm sayin'. I'm just hoping this is not the official video for the song if it is indeed her next single.

So I was wondering if anybody has heard if this is the next single from "CEG"?

I happened to see a Nickelback video played on CMT this weekend and went over to CMT.com and see they have their own artist page there. This video appears to be in semi regular rotation as far as I can tell on their CMT message board.

The song is called "Rockstar" and has a whole bunch of celebs lip synching in it like Ted Nugent, Kid Rock, John Rich, Grant Hill, Chuck "The Ice Man" Liddell and a whole bunch of what I presume, from their looks and the the song's lyrics, to be Playboy Playmates.

The song is quite good but is not country in its' sound nor in its' theme. The only country connection that I saw in it was John Rich although I was not able to ID every person in the video by any means. I was wondering if anyone knows if Nickelback has released this single to country radio or is planning on making a run into the genre?

Haha! That's fine with me! It makes life interesting. Plus, I like to speak my mind, especially when I know I'm right and have PROOF!
0-8 vs SEC....HAHA. That was good.
