I got up about an hour ago to use the bathroom, and found our cat that we'd had nearly 14 years in the hall. He was beyond help and looked as if he'd passed peacefully.

I had my big cry and we took turns holding him, my older boy had been awake. (The little guy slept through it--not sure how he'll take it tomorrow morning.)

We've wrapped him in one of Tom's old T-shirts put him in a box. We'll keep him in the rest of tonight as I can't stand the thought of putting him out in the cold and snow.

It's so hard to lose a pet that's been loved so much and so long. Neither boy can remember a time when we didn't have him.

I hope I can see him again someday.

Computer Woes

Our only working computer has decided it would be swell to either constanly lock up or shutdown. So...for those who have sent me Emails or PMs that have not been answered, that's the scoop. I'm lucky this machine has allowed me the good grace to type this out and send it.
