God willing. And here's hoping TCU kicks the crap otu of them this weekend. I need a Sooner Victory at Red River this year.

Amen to that. We can only give them so many in a row.

I managed to score a ticket to the Miami game tomorrow! AHHHH!

They're touting it to be the biggest home game since Bob Stoops came to the university...and I'm gonna be there! It may rain, but I don't care! Atleast it wont be boiling hot, and we'll still be screaming for our boys!

Nice job. I was really excited when I landed tickets to the game a few weeks ago - so I understand the feeling. Hopefully we will both leave this game extremely happy.

BOOMER SOONER!!! (couldn't help myself)

See, I was a 'tard and just forgot to pick up my season ticket for this game. I mean, what the heck? As pumped as I am/was for this game it just slipped my mind.

We best leave the game super happy! I have a feeling it's going to be packed to capacity and campus is going to be CRAWLING with people. I'm walking to the game to avoid the parking fiasco I know will happen (but I just live over on Classen, south of Lindsey so it's not all that far!)

I def. agree that it will be as packed as humanly possible - we may even break the record set at the Texas Tech game in 06 for the most people. Unfortunately since I live in the city, I have to drive, and parking will be horrible as usual. But the tix I have came from a friend who has regular season tickets so at least I don't have to get there super early to get a good seat in the student section. I honestly think this could potentially be a very close game. I'm going with OU 31-27.

Honky Tonk University has really outplayed The U in the first half but amazingly it is only 21-10! Take away the 2 fluke plays that got The U their field goal and HTU their 3rd touchdown and it would be 14-7. But OU has really outplayed them. The U is gonna be a witch as the season wears on but OU has all the looks of a national title contender.

But I thhink this is going to be a great baptisim by fire for The U. Not likely they are going to run into anyone close to OU's athletisism....... much less on the road! Win, lose or draw the Canes are going to benefit greatly from this game.

Now I know why HTU hates The U so much. The announcers said HTU was 33-3 between 1985 and 1987 and their only three losses came to The U in the Orange Bowl which cost them three national titles. I did not know that! The funny thing is both teams were at their height of their "Outlaw" period with Jimmy Johnson vs. Barry Switzer and Brian Bosworth vs Michael Irvin. Not to mention some of the other characters running around out there for both teams at that time.

Holy smack! The U just turned OU over with a fumble recovery. Maybe this game is not over!

I don't know if TK is there or not but he did introduce the OU starters at the beginning of the televised game. That guy is hilarious and had the announcers cracking up after both intros with his EPIC smack talk. Toby is just a pure Bad (word) and one intimidating looking cat!

Now it is 21-13. It is still a game although I can't see HTU losing this.

Maybe this game is not over!

But then again maybe it was. I thought I was going to watch a football game in the second half and a (butt) kicking broke out! OUCH!

The announcers on ABC were talking HTU up as legit National Title contenders in the 2nd half and I gotta agree. They were not playing a bunch of pansies out there by any means and they just dominated them. I really did not see ANY weakness in their team. Look at the trouble #3 West Virginia had stopping Marshall for 2/3s of the game today and the Canes beat them 38-3 last week. So OU dismantled a pretty good team today. Matter of fact, HTU looks very much like the vintage Cane teams that won and/or contended for all those national titles.

The U has major issues at QB which is why that game got out of hand. Their QBs scare absolutely NOBODY and OU just was able to key on the run. Since The U could not convert 3rd downs, their D was on the field all day and they were obviously worn down in the second half. I don't think Randy Shannon will get too PO'd at his team as they did not quit and were just overmatched by a superior team on the road. I think the Canes will get better from this beating. I think they have the right coach with the right pedigree and the right attitude to turn things around in the near future. Just wait and see.

Party time at HTU this weekend! Lots of OU fans from Norman to Las Vegas are "gonna get their drink on" tonight!

Miami is definitely disappointing, but LSU can just keep on truckin'!!!! (IMG:http://martina-mcbride.com/martinaville/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

GO GATORS. Offense looked really sharp, defense is freaking tackling with their arms and not their bodies. It's mostly new freshmen guys, they'll learn. They can't keep tackling like that against the big guns like Georgia and LSU.

Michigan lost AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They showed the score in The Swamp, and the place erupted again. Hahahahahahahaha. What an EMBARRASSMENT to the Big Ten. I love it. But there are a couple teams I respect in the Big Ten, like Wisconsin and Mich State.

WVU did not look good against Marshall...I mean, it's Marshall! Dude.

Auburn HAS to beat USF, otherwise we will NEVER hear the end of it. Since USF is basically West-Central Florida and not South Florida. UCF and USF are MAJOR rivals, and most USF people are very arrogant and big buttheads.

Did USC ever beat UGA? Last time I saw, the Chickens were winning.

Auburn is playing like crap on toast, they need to step it up!

I just called home and could hear my dad SCREAMING at the TV (and Cox, the QB) in the background and asked my mom if she'd locked the door to the balcony so he couldn't throw himself off it.

My boys did so amazing today, btu I'm so tired from game day festivities that I can't even think straight. Plus I'm sunburned on one half my body (the left half) from the game...

And the VT/LSU game was supposed to be close - yeah RIGHT. I knew VT had no chance - they're AT Death Valley, on Eastern Time [so it's an hour later for them, and they're that much more tired], it's STEAMY and hot.., but the media kept saying VT could pull an upset. They are totally overrated. Especially after struggling with ECU last week.

Guess Auburn isn't rolling Toomer's Corner tonight.....that sucks.

I rolled (or "helped" roll) Toomer's for the first time when I was a year and a half old. There's a picture of me with a roll of TP with my daddy who was a Sophomore at the time.

Sad. Auburn did so well last year but this year they just kinda have been sucking it up.

Atleast my boys won (IMG:http://martina-mcbride.com/martinaville/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

How much of the game did you actually watch? Okay, first of all this was literally the game of the century for Marshall. WVU hadn't played at Marshall in 100 years or so--think their fans and players may have been a little pumped up? I think that should read despite Marshall playing a *perfect* first half on their home field, final score WVU 48 Marshall 25.

Stats and yeah, I have to put these up. Two years ago I claimed WVU had the best and most dangerous backfield in college football. Gotta back up claims with the facts.

Pat White:
Passing-149 yds, 2 tds
Rushing-125, 1 td

Steve Slaton:
146 yds, 2 tds

Let's go Mountaineers!

Is LSU's stadium called Death Valley, too?

UGA should've spanked USC - I can't believe they lost. I hate the Gamecocks... I was hoping UGA would destroy them, but no... they lose 19-12. Unreal.

Well what is there to actually say about Penn State? They beat a Notre Dame team at home that is simply awful this year. Notre Dame got hammered by an unranked Georgia Tech team 33-3 at ND last week and still have not scored an offensive touchdown this year! Penn State was a 15 pt favorite and all they did was what they were supposed to. That was hardly a monumental win for Penn State.

If anyone thinks Miami got hammered yesterday, it was nothing compared to what happened to Michigan. The 39-7 score hardly tells the real dominance of an unranked Oregon team yesterday.

Oregon easily could have hung 60 pts on U of M as their 1st TD (a 1 yd run) was called back for illegal procedure and they settled for a FG. Oregon also turned the ball over on downs at U of M's 1 yd line in the 4th and fumbled the ball away in the 3rd qtr on U of M's 2 yd line. Their kicker also hit the crossbar on another field goal attempt. That totals 21 more points that Oregon easily could have had.

Oregon also had nearly 650 yds in total offense which was 200 yds more than Oklahoma had against the Canes. That was the second most in history against a Michigan team which has been playing football for over a century! It was 32-7 at halftime and it was never a contest. The best defense that U of M had against Oregon was to let them get inside their 5 yd line where Oregon's spread offense obviously had problems due to a lack of space.

Even with U of M's well know defensive problems you have to wonder what is the deal with their highly regarded offense? Henne and Hart were pre season Heisman candidates. Jake Long is the odds on favorite to win the Outland Trophy and the guard playing next to him is an All American candidate. And their two wideouts, especially Mannigham, are big prospects for the upcoming NFL draft and are supposed to go very high in the draft. And yet they only get 7 points at home against an Oregon team that is not supposed to be too hot on defense?

The camera shots of Michigan's crowd were absolutely HILARIOUS! God, I am so glad I went to State!

Know what I'm sayin'?
