Well let the games "officially" begin tomorrow. The Iowa caucus is finally here. My predicition is that Romeny will get it for the GOP and I honeslty do not know about the Dems. I'd love it to be Hillary but I have a feeling it might be Obama, possibly even Edwards ( (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) ). Edwards needs to win or it's game over for him.

New Hampshire is Tuesday, I think McCain will pull off a win, and Hillary will win NH, no matter what happens in Iowa, I think she will pull off a win there. I'm happy to see McCain doing well again, I really respect him.

I am excited, I love everything to do with this process and it is very exciting it being my first time and all.

I am actually heading up to NH to help campaign Sun-Tue for Hillary. I know how most of you feel about her, but I enjoy all of you here and I had to share that because I am very excited to actually be getting involved.

Let the best man (or woman) win!

Politicians are in politics for 2 reasons:
To get relected and to ammass power.
I don't trust any politician, and I think many of their political stances are simply to get the votes of the people they think will vote for them, but I will vote for the candidate that is against abortion.

I can not wait for this whole process to be over. It is sad if you think about it. We are one of a very FEW countries that are considered a Republic (technically we are not a democracy, we are a Republic by definition) and we take the whole process as a joke.

As a whole we should care about this process but I is very hard to care when the politicans themselves treat the system the way they do..

That would be just about any GOP candidate.

Paul, Having done volunteer work for Republican candidates for over twenty years now, I have to disagree with your generalization. Although there are many politicians who match your description, I have known others who are honest public servants. The problem with politics is that it often requires compromises. Today's elected officials must often choose which issues they wish to make their priorities and then agree to vote for bills that they might not normally support when such votes will garner more support for their own bills.

Obama and Huckabee emerge as the victors. Should be to see what happens in New Hampshire, for the Dems at least. If Obama wins there, it will come down to Super Tuesday. Huckabee is way behind in New Hampshire. New Hampshire tends to not vote for the person who wins Iowa.

I forgot to say a lot of pressure is put on these early states, more than it actually is. Winning these states sets up a momentum, but I think for both parties it will come down to Feb 5. It will be interesting, it make it more enjoyable. Not when your candidate may not be such a sure thing but you never count anyone out. McCain has probably been the biggest surprise of this whole thing, he was considered a goner this summer, he is now pulling #1 nationally.

Looks to me like it's going to come down to Obama and Clinton with Huckabee trailing a distant third after New Hampshire.

I, personally, am an Obama supporter. I'd like to see him run with Edwards, but who knows.

If Hilary makes it, even this liberal wont be voting for her. She just rubs me the wrong way.

I'm not surprised with the "winners" though I am surprised to see Edwards beat out Clinton for "2nd place". I like Edwards but I just don't see him beating Obama or Clinton for the Dem. ticket. I wonder if he'll get picked to run as VP with the Dem. winner - and if he does get picked, I wonder if he'll accept.

Romney's numbers were bad... I'm not sold on Huckabee yet. Something just doesn't seem quite right with him. I can't put my finger on it though.

Don't worry, Bush has already taken care of that.

I like Huckabee, and I'm glad he won. I'm really surprised that Edwards beat Clinton on the Dem. side. That was unexpected.

Honestly, I'm rather displeased with the candidates this time... Huckabee is the closest to my political views, but he's still too liberal for me... I cannot wait to hear the outcome of the New Hampshire primaries...

A few of his policies are... like some of his foreign policy ideas... Socially, he's quite conservative.
